Please take a look at this post and help me remove all of the recurring posts that on the side. Its the only page doing this; why?
If I understand you want to remove blogs. Go to your profile, blogs, click on each, there is a blue tab below the title (gear circle), click and delete. Jovo

What's the best program to use when setting up a store? Items to sell with descriptions.
There are many ways to do this and the right one is the one with all the features you need. I use Woocommerce on my http://classicalguitartdh.com site with Prosociate. You should note that some features require your server to permit running off site jobs (CRON etc.)
WA sites do not allow this, but you may need this feature for payment gateways and product populating. I use Hostgator to get the extra features needed. These features increase the risk of being hacked.
What i have been using up until now is amazon direct product links. Simply by pasting the codes next to each other they show up as a mini mall like you saw on my site. Other way is to rewrite product details put a picture and call for action.
Hope this helps.

Yes you can. Amazon associate can also be an alternative, you can build a store and embed as one of your pages, you can design the page to match the color theme of your website. Check this one for reference http://3d-artrender.blogspot.ae/p/bookstore.html
you can also consider the woocommerce plugin within wordpress where you can add photo and description to your product.
You can search the plugins and see the choices out there. Make sure you select one that is compatible to your WP theme. The most popular one is WooCommerce. I use that one - the free version. Whatever you choose, there will also be additional "add-ons" that will change the display options. It's good to try different ones. You can see mine at work on my site at http://www.javaforlife.com . Go to the top menu and click JavaSTORE.
I'd agree - I've setup two live webshops using WooCommerce - and can't praise it highly enough - especially since it's free, and works out of the box. Yes you can buy add-ons - but they are only necessary if you want specific features (I bought an add-on to use WorldPay as a payment gateway for example).
All the best, Mark
were you able to host the payment etc through WA, or is it like the comment from someone about offsite jobs?
Hi - the payments are through recognized payment gateways, eg, PayPal, http://Authorize.net, WorldPay etc - you don't actually make payments "on your site hosted here" - you are taken to the payment processor (or your customers are), so they can make secure payments via their servers.
Once the transaction has completed, they are returned to your designated "thank you" page.
cheers, Mark
that's what I had thought - so we should be able to host woocommerce fine in WA
I set up a shop just fine, just didn't go live with it, but there was no problem, and I had set it up on a siterubix - though I wouldn't suggest that for a business as they should have their own domain and premium hosting
Yes, I have two sites using WooCommerce hosted on WA, one uses PayPal, the other uses WorldPay OR PayPal (customers choice).
All the best, Mark

I have a serious question if all of my content is being plagiarised how can i hide my site without d
I just want to hide my WA site down temporarily on this community forum.
Welcome to the plag group :)
It is an honor to have our stuff copied, lol
You will not be affected and your content must be pretty good. :)
Hi Denise, I see you have received some answers about your problem. Can you explain some more of what you know is happening to your website?
Coach Ed
Hi Denise,
It doesn't matter if all of your content is plagiarized because Google knows that you are the original owner of the content. Your website could be copied 100x and it wouldn't negatively affect you at all.
As soon as a new post is published, Google will quickly index it and they will know that you are the owner. Anyone who copies that content will harm themselves as they will have duplicate content on their sites but you'll be just fine :)
Carson
Wow, that's good news; I'll remember that. I feel so much better now; the thought of re-writing everything was very discouraging. Thanks Carson!
You don't have to show your sites here on the forum. Showing them on your profile is up to you. I've heard that plagiarism is the reason others aren't sharing their sites here. So sad!
I'm not sharing my wa site simply because its too naked right now. Gotta get it dressed!
Have you tried to message the person who stole your content and ask them to take it down?
I use a plugin WordPress Protection Lite. I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. I hope you check out this plugin and it takes care of your problem of plagiarism. All the best to you.

Is it crazy to upgrade my theme to the pro version. There's so much more I want to do.
I am so glad you asked this question. I have been thinking I want to switch to pro, didn't know if I should. The Pro would help me a great deal. Decisions decisions. haha
Brenda
I think I am heading that way. It is for my salon website. I will be to do so much more with it.
Brenda
Hey Denise,
I think it really depends on which theme you are talking about. Not all are created equal. You should try to figure out what you are trying to accomplish and ask questions of the developer whether their pro version will accomplish that. And also, how complicated is it to do what you want? I have had situations where I though the pro version would do more but it didn't pan out. Definitely get the answers before committing any capital.
Best Regards,
Jim
Isn't this a hard question? I struggle with it too. What theme do you have?
On one side, you don't want to spend money when the free product is already great.
On the other you see the options that would be available if going pro and that plays with your head! ;)
I would go about it the same way I did for going Premium: Yes, the free product is GREAT, but the Premium (or pro in this case) is even GREATER and I will highly benefit from upgrading and access tools and options I did not have and feel would be important for my success.
If your answer is ''yes'' to the above statement, I'd say spoil yourself and go pro!
I totally feel what you are saying. Totally, thanks. I'm trying out themes and I love the Slocum themes but upgrade appears to make building the site so much more simple.
Haha, I'll be making my choice this weekend. I'll check back with you to see what you chose to do! ;)

Thank you very much for sharing your story with us. I know I have hopped on WA just to chat when I was in a bit of a funk as I knew the community here would help pull me back into a positive mindset. Thanks again! Keep working it!
I totally agree! This is a wonderful place to learn and grow in knowledge of the internet and of online marketing. All of these marketing strategies are totally new to me. It is exciting to learn here.

Wonderful review of the system! Those are the words I find coming out of my mouth regularly and I just started with the WA. Free education and the support group is amazing. Everone is so patient with me. I feel special. So glad I found WA!
