Ok, the problem I was having with my ad was due to a billing issue...from 2007! It wasn't showing online because it was in Google's old billing system. I had to call and get the charge removed, I should start seeing impressions by the weekend.

Hi Frank. Did you push through you ppc campaign? I have a site with 2-3 pages and I'm planning to use ppc. The numbers you see in any keyword tool are just estimates but I find the keyword tool here reliable.

I just launched my page a little over a week ago, although i've owned the domain for about 2 years now.
i may have jumped the gun, but I put together an adwords campaign
Dear Frankkej,
It seems that Upsgirl had already provided you some solutions. If that is not working, then may be it is because your ads are not appearing in first page of Google. If your ads are appearing in 2nd page of Google or even in the bottom of search page, then it is hard to get the clicks or any impressions as well specially when your ads are shown in 2nd page. Or, may be your ads is showing to some targeted countries only Or, may be your bids amount is not enough to even display your ads. Google will not bother to display your ads if your bid amount is too much low than your competitors.
So, what is the solution?
The solution to these all is just to increase your bid price. First try to increase bid amount and wait for 2-3 days. If this doesn't help you, then you can again place your queries here or even in the forum of Google Adwords.
AND ONE MORE THING....
You say that you are having a hard time finding people to answer your questions around here. You must know that only your followers or whom you are following will receive your questions. So, in order to get help from many people, try to follow as many people as you can, specially those whom you think are expert. Anyway, I just follow you.
Thanks so much for your reply. Here's what I did so far:
1. set budget to $35/day
2. i have 15 keywords and 12 ads
3. bid price is $6 for keywords that are $2.75-3 on average
4. all ads and keywords are active
5. all ads and keywords are all eligible and accepted
6. I created a negative keyword list of competitors and results I didn't want to show for
7. set territory to US only
8. quality score for all words is either a 7/10 to 8/10
When I hover over my keywords it says "keyword phrase doesn't trigger any of your ads.."
My website has been up for 11 days in total, I wonder if my results are caused by the fact that my site is too new...?
Dear Frankkej,
If you are only targeting US, then keywords bids will definitely high and if you are setting up campaigns for review of online work companies such as "Wealthy Affiliate Review", then you should start to bid more than $9 per keyword to appear in good position if you are only targeting US. Don't worry, it will not cut that much money as per your bid amount. However, if you find it is cutting same amount of money and if you feel you can't afford it, just pause or delete those keywords.
Google also verify that your keywords are relevant with your post or not. If those keywords which you are placing for bid is not available within your post, then it may not trigger your those ads.
I'm not targeting wealthy affiliate. My site is about flood insurance. Www.onlinefloodquote.com

There isn't a specified timeframe for starting a PPC Campaign.
When did you upload your ads?
Have they been approved? If not, what does the status column say?
From AdWords Editor, export a copy of your campaign as an AdWords Editor Archive.

so I found out what happened... I had a $3.67 balance on my Google account from 2007! It was in their old billing system so it wasn't showing online. I called and straightened it out, should start to see impressions sometime over the weekend... what in the world...!
Turns out the billing wasn't the issue. it was another problem that they can't put their finger on. i had to close my adwords account and start over again..... just FYI, maybe it will save someone else time down the road if they come across this
