Superfast Google Chrome
Hey, WA!
Here a tip for people that have a Mac with an M1 chip (Edwin).
Google Chrome can be downloaded as a native M1 app to run directly from your desktop, which is faster and more memory efficient than the x86_64 package that is translated with Rosetta 2.
Once you download Chrome, select the "Mac With Apple Chip" option.
You can check "About Google Chrome" to be sure you have the correct version. It should say "arm64."
Safari M1 ran even quicker than Chrome M1 in the most recent benchmarks, but I like Chrome better, and it runs blazing fast.

I'm holding out for the M1 Macbook Pro, can't wait for that to be released. Good info for those already on the already released M1 line!
Hi, Carson
I have the M1 MacBook Air, and I really love it. The M1 is like a "motherboard" in terms of architecture. It has the CPU, Graphics, chip, Ram, Neuro network, etc., all integrated into one chip. I had to order it directly from Apple because Best Buy could not get me the 16 GB of RAM model.
I would definitely recommend the 16 GB RAM upgrade. It's so fast that nothing slows it down. I'm using it for my biomedical engineering simulations with Auto CAD 3d and Pro E and getting great results!
