Stick To Your Goals And "Just Do You!"
Hi, WA Friends
Are you sticking to the goals you posted on your WA profile page? It's good to look now and again, and if your goals change as your business evolves, then update them.
Getting motivated by what others are doing on WA is great, but stick to your goals and just do you, not them.
There's such a diverse group of people in the WA community with various backgrounds and all levels of training. Learn as much as you can but remember that their path to "success" can differ from yours.
Do You, Not Me or Anyone Else๏ปฟ
It's essential to work within your own identity.
Here's how I'm "doing me."
I set out to create an affiliate marketing and PPC website to augment my guitar-playing hobby. Since I'm not trying to generate an income to replace a full-time job, I set my goal at making $1,000 per month while working 5 to 15 hours a week without needing to upscale further or outsource work in the future.
This time investment works well with my work schedule and lifestyle, and I set an income of 1,000/month as my incentive to eventually use that money to pay my yearly home property taxes.
I started at 5 hours a week and eventually hit my maximum time investment of 15 hours and spread it out as 3 hours/day, Monday through Friday. Anything I do on the weekend, like interacting with the WA community, is "extra."
Stay Focused And Happy๏ปฟ
So, stick to your goals. Do the training, learn from others, and put forth the effort and consistency you need to be successful. No more and no less.
It doesn't matter if other people are doing more or progressing faster.
Remember to keep doing the things in your life that make you happy.
It's that simple!
Keep On Rockin' ๐ค

Hello Frank,
Thank you for a great post, I really like it!
I like your very true words, I believe we are all created individuals and everyone has something to bring to the table! However, we can learn from others; we don't need to copy them, but we still, and as you say, need to stick to our own goals!
I agree; there are some fantastic people on the Wealthy Affiliate platform and at all different levels.
It sounds like you have a great plan, Frank and a goal, which is great. I am kind of doing similar, trying to build my online business at the same time as working my offline business! It is coming together, but I would like to have a bit more time to do the online business. However, my offline business is quieter at the moment, so I am trying to make the most of my time.
I agree, it's very important to keep happy, there has to be some playtime even if we are busy! I think I will have to get that guitar rocking again soon!
I really appreciate your blog post, Frank; some really great insights within your post.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

You're "doing you," Jeff.

Mind reading must be another of your gifts, was just thinking about updating my goals on my profileโฆ
When I read realistic goals and not โ I want to make $1,000,000 in 1 year and will work as much as needed..phhttt.
I know that person will succeed, not just with the realistic goal, but in his or her business as well.
