Are You More Creative Or Analytic?

Are you creative, analytic, or a mixture of both?
Do you believe in the creative/right brain vs. analytic-logical/left brain theory? I think the brain is much too complex to have such a simple architecture. Medical studies using PET-CT technology show that things like listening to music and problem-solving light up multiple areas on both sides.
As a child, I was very creative, almost totally "right brain" oriented. We were nurtured in a very fun-oriented environment with very little if any, academic rigor. I still cherish my very ethnic Italian upbringing!
Somehow, I got involved in more scientific pursuits. I couldn't really say why, but I was given the gift of music and had to work for all my other achievements. Therefore, I assume that I am right-brain dominant.
I'm still more creative than analytic/logic-based, and I love it that way!
How about you? Do you believe in the right vs. left brain theory, and are you more creative, analytic, or an equal mixture of both?

Being a Gemini it’s allows me to have two personalities (LOL nice excuse right?).
In my career I was a VERY analytical type that was what had to do — and I was good at it.
However, throughout my life I have always loved to write! I wrote everything from from poetry the short stories for my children and dabbled with an outline for a few novels — I just love to write — and still do.
Now that I’m retired I’m hoping the Wealthy Affiliate is not only gonna help me build an online business in which I can supplement my retirement but I can also grow my creative side even more which is always been dormant, but now I hope to take a step forward and define me more.

I'm a mix of both, Frank, yet, lean more towards analytical. I have an artist's eye for painting, photography, and talent in playing sports.
To create something from scratch is difficult for me, yet, when provided with the ingredients, I an a whiz at coming up with something. No matter the topic, I have an inate view on things.

Actually, you're the Doctor, so you decide... although you may require additional input from a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a brain surgeon, and that person that administers the lethal injection!!

I'd like to think 50/50, but I actually believe, which may surprise some, I am far more analytical.

Most people tend to lean one way or the other.
My take on you is that you're probably 60% Creative/40% Analytical, but you would know better than I.
Let me point out that some of the greatest thinkers in the world, like Da Vinci, Einstein, Schrodinger, etc., solved difficult problems by looking at them in a creative and unorthodox way.
I have no idea who administers lethal injections, but it will never be me! 😎

Hi Frank...great topic and one I've thought about many times over the years. I think I'm a fluctuating mix. But as a child I was definitely more creative leaning. I wonder if it's possible to switch dominant hemispheres due to life experience. Sounds like you had a great upbringing!

I believe that life experiences can help or hinder our creative or analytical expression later in life.
Both our genetics and upbringing can have enormous effects on our thought processes!
Yes, I was lucky enough to have experienced an amazingly great upbringing, and I still treasure all the wonderful memories! 😊 😊

I've been called the jack of all trades.because I know alot about alot of things, but a professon at none. I'm a darn good smoker ask anyone whose read my blogs.but owned my own business rebuilding carbs for 30 yrs.still would be if not for covid. I can make you a very good peanutbutter cream banana pie.and change the brakes on your car. I can detail your ride. and mend a pair of pants.I even wash dishes ,and rewire a house.
I own 2 houses.i live on a farm. I can paint you a picture, and smoke a 30 lb brisket to perfection.
So I guess I have both. I can do many more things.one day I'll write an article about everything i know. it might just be a best seller. have a great week Frank.
