Yesterday my daughter asked me - "daddy can you help me find this piece that goes here in this toy".
I told her I didn't even know how it looked like and she tried to explain.
So I asked the typical question - "where do you usually put it?"
"I don't know, mommy stows all my toys" - she answered.
Of course, I tried explaining that if she did it herself and always in the same place, she'd be able to find it quite easy.
I suffer from a bit of OCD, but honestly, I just call it having systems.
My wife constantly loses her keys and asks me - "have you seen...?" like 10 times per day.
I always know where my stuff is, because I drop everything in the same place every time. For some, it might not look like order, because I hang the jacket on the desk chair, etc, but it's a system, and it works for me.
Systems boost my productivity 10 fold.

Similarly, having systems in place in your business can save you a lot of time and increase your productivity.
What Kyle and Carson created here with WA is a system, an incredibly efficient business system, but you can improve upon it by personalizing it.

Could you be writing your posts at a different time or in a different manner and be more efficient?
Some people prefer to back load their writing, create 10 posts in a day, and then edit them later and publish, others prefer to work on one at a time.
Personalizing your work, creating your systems can be very useful.

I LOVE systems! They give me a strong framework and they make me feel safe. And then I just blow them up and make other ones, and again and again... it's fun! I'm an ever evolving human being and my systems evolve with me. :-)

Yes, there must be a systematic approach. It’s like the step-by-step WA education system where we learn and build our business :o)
Indeed Terand, the WA system is a great example, that's why I mentioned it. But we can still personalize working systems for better results. Since we're all different, things that work for some people might not work for others.
I have a system for some tasks in life, while others I seem to flounder. I *want* to change that, but cannot be consistent. Good post!

Systems...I never really thought about it that way but I have systems for where I put my keys and the mail, etc. I have a system for paying my bills or cleaning my house. It's time to develop a system for working on my websites. There are days when I leap out of bed at 4:00 a.m., too excited about working to sleep. Other days, with no plan, I drift about without accomplishing anything. Thank you for sharing what works for you.

Indeed Sarwat, systems are a kind of discipline. But if you think about it, we all have some kind of discipline through habits, I also wrote about how our habits can control us or we can control them.

I went back to read your posts about focus and productivity. Thank you for writing this out...just for me! I've mentioned on other folk's blog how terribly inconsistent I am and have run around chasing my tail. What I need is a kick in the rear and reproduce the excitement, focus, and goal setting I made when I started WA! I really was jumping up and down to finally hit a system that I could excel at, and make an income as well. I lost that exuberance somewhere along the way. I told someone I should probably just start over, clear the deck, and jump on with both hands. Yes, even writing this comment I believe that is the way to go. Thank you for ALL your blogs. I can't help but think you are "The ONE" that can help me turn this baby around and drive the winding and sometimes rocky road to success! I am very grateful!!
