To Transfer A Domain Name
There is intricate processing to moving your domain names, and sometimes they have good attitudes, and sometimes they try to discourage you!
I have moved one domain name, and am in the process of moving another, but it is trying because Godaddy doesn't want you to move. I had to give one technician a 'dis-satisfied survey' tonight.
I believe in telling the truth about work situations. In order that your turn may happen in a better way if you are forewarned about what your rights are.
I ask for the process to move, and the technician told me there was a fee. I had moved a domain before, and I knew that was an untruth. When I told him so, he said yes ma'am, and said I would get an email, and clicked off the phone.
Making a second call back to Godaddy was my only option to continue moving my domain. I didn't have Privacy turned off, or my transition Code that I had to get from them, and I didn't know what email they might send the information to for me.
Let me make this one thing very clear before I go further. I have been with Godaddy for about fifteen or sixteen years. I still have domain names with them and I have a long history and good relationship. Godaddy is an excellent company with top-notch Technical Support!
Although I have good history with Godaddy, now I have a Yearly Membership with Wealthy Affiliate. The fact that WA provides hosting for members websites just totally amazes me, I can't believe that is part of the Premium Membership package! Do you believe how much money this saves us?
To have SiteSupport to go to in times of trouble with a website?
This even more adds to the value of the Premium Membership package with hosting!

When I moved my domains away from GoDaddy, I too realized they did not want me to leave, but they just kept raising there prices for URL's that I bought there. So, too bad for them!
When WA offered not only website hosting, but also the ability to buy domains, I moved everything here.
"Marion" has great trainings on moving your domains away from GoDaddy if you have not found that already.

I have to say this is my first time I have ever dealt with online business so I have not tried anything else. But I was looking into it before and it all did seem to be really expensive. I am grateful for being here.

Also you are so right I don't think anybody realises what we get with Premium here at W.A.
Amount of money we actually save just on domains and hosting and all the tech support and Jaaxy we get etc.

If you haven't had to pay for SSL, Virus Protection, or Jaaxy before, then you don't know the beginning of what you are receiving for your Premium Membership!
You could write a good training on the process of moving a GoDadday website to WA. I think that might be valuable to many people.

Hope you worked it out and got your domain set right. Yes WA is a good site and we like the hosting with it. Everybody always says how great the community is and we like to contribute and be a part of it. Good luck,
