Learned About Live Chat
Learned something new tonight about Live Chat!
Someone ask a question and I answered them in Live Chat! It did not seem like a big deal and I didn't know I was doing something wrong. I knew the answer and I answered them.
Then I read the correct answer!
"Above to the right is the Search Bar, and in there you can find Training on anything you have questions about."
I had a lesson in this tonight in SiteSupport when I ask how something was done, and I was pointed to Kyle and Carson's Trainings.
This is the way things are done at WA! I didn't inderstand before. I apologize for the times I answered questions wrong by giving the answer instead of pointing to the Training!
Thank you,
Janice

I think people like to hear personal responses given from experience...sometimes it's easier to understand. No harm in including a training link as well.

Continue to do what you are doing, that's the way I learn.
No right or wrong here. If members don't understand you didn't know then they must ask themselves,
"When I started did I know everything?"
If their answer is "YES" then they are full of it!
Sorry Janice, I needed to vent.
Not to worry my dear, you are learning and that what matters.
frank =)
Hi Janice. You did nothing wrong. If you know the answer to the question, you give the answer. It is just good practice to complement your answer with a training link.
Keep on helping.

Thank you for that answer but I am not sure you have the right idea.
I think you are trying to be kind and I thank you, but I got a good dose of truth.
This is still a wonderful place, it is just different than I thought.
