I have forgotten my login password. How can I retrieve it? What do I need to do? Thanks.

you can reset your password when you go to your websites and hosting it gives the option failing that you can put a support ticket in

If you log out and then go to log back in again, it will ask you if you've forgotten your password. You can then have a new password emailed to you. :)

Thank you very much Michelle. :)

I have tried this several times to no avail...is there another method?

I was trying to understand how landing pages/Opt-in pages are used and came across LeadPages which was relatively easy to understand. Do you offer that here for use? Can it be u

That is true since he is one of the creators of WA

Good question and I see Kyle has given a very detailed answer thanks for bringing it up

Hi KatieMac, All one has to do is look at Kyle's Rank and that will undoubtedly tell why he can come up with such informative answers loaded with great "content."
Robert

Lead pages can be any page on your website that you use to collect leads. There are services out there that you can use to do this, but there are many plugins within Wordpress that you can use as well (some of which are free).

The thing about collecting leads and building a list is that I don't recommend doing this until:

(1) You are getting enough traffic to make it worthwhile
(2) You understand your audience and their "hot" buttons
(3) You have a grasp of email marketing
(4) You are already generating income from your website

I see far too often people jumping the gun and trying to build a list without having the requisite traffic there. No people = no opportunity to build the list in the first place.

Just something to consider.

Thank you Kyle. Lead page/Opt-in page/Landing page - are they the same thing with a different name?

Generating traffic - I thought that in order to generate an email list, you needed to generate traffic. And in order to generate traffic, you needed to have a lead page/opt-in page/landing page (if these are one and the same) where interested readers could enter their email information prior to accessing one's product thus gradually enabling one to grow a list....

What are the advantages of being better positioned in these ranks and what should I be doing each day to be better ranked? Thanks.

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally like to visit the top rankings and study the websites others have created to get some ideas for my own. Being in the top 100 WA members lets more people see your info.

At first glance, the network thing didn't make sense to me; I guess it was because I thought it would naturally be tied to how financially successful you are at WA. This is, of course, not so. And, because it isn't, then it is easy to think it is of lesser, or no real, importance to your success here. Nothing could be further from the truth. It really amounts to 2 things: #1 by being active and helping, you make WA the valuable community that others want to join. This makes it possible for each of us to get referrals. #2 You are practicing (training/learning) for when you actually get your own referrals. Wouldn't it make sense for you to mentor your referrals, so that both you and they can be successful? You see, it isn't as completely detached from the income part as I first thought, is it.

This video explains rank: Boosting Your WA Ranks!

It's not incredibly important but just a bonus benefit here at WA

I had the same question, now I get it..
ty

Hi Jane - they don't mean anything in terms of advantages.

They're just a reflection of your activity in the community - eg. replying to posts/questions, posting comments and blogs, creating training etc.

The more of all that you do, the higher (lower number) your ranking is.

It won't affect what you can/can't do, or use etc though.

I hope the helps?

All the best, Mark

This really helps. Thank you.

I have found many interesting and helpful articles and discussions here at WA.

Is there a way to save them on my page here, in folders or something so that I can refer to

You can simply bookmark them in a folder in your browser.

Croninweb had a great idea. Open up Rapid Writer on the left sidebar and start a new blog. Copy paste whatever you want to into it, like url's, etc. Just don't publish it and it will stay there forever. Nice and handy to have it here at WA. It's what I use.

Thank you AnnieB. Another great idea that I shall try.

Hi Annie. I had to go through a little bit of trial and error first because I did not see anything directing me to a BLOG box.

Here is what I did, just in case anyone else needs the steps:

I copied the URL of the article I was interested in, then went to RAPID WRITER and clicked it open. Next, I clicked on EDITOR whereupon two boxes NAME and CONTENT showed up on the page.

In the NAME box, I typed in a heading and then in the CONTENT box, I scrolled down past the series of bullet points and pasted the URL of the article I wanted to save. Finally, I scrolled down to the green button SAVE NOW and clicked on it to save the information.

Prior to exiting Rapid Writer, I tried to open the url but that did not work so I assume each time I want to view that article, I shall copy and paste it into the bar at the top left handside of the page.

I copy and paste into a Word Doc and keep them in a filing system under topics. It's quick and works!

KD6PAO, thank you for the suggestion.

Hi, if you have chrome you can book mark them, click on the star ( next to the magnify glass looking thing ) up on the tool bar, and or you can keep a list on a word document...
there are so many great ones, I have had to start saving some on word :-)

Thank you Digger12.
