I have been struggling with this all week. My PageSpeed Insights are not good. Mobile/Desktop are 83/81 respectively.

I have loaded TinyPNG and re-optimized my images. I

These look like plugins that you are using, which sometimes you will not be able to monetize them any further. In the first example, it looks like a mailchimp form that is needing compression. That is likely not optimized on their end.

Do know that if you use SiteContent for your images and publish your content through SiteContent to your website, all images that you use are going to be compressed using our state of the art compression platform (which will work brilliantly well for Google and other search engines in terms of load speeds).

As for plugins and widgets, sometimes there is nothing you can do about these and this appears to be the case. If your PageSpeed is good, I would not panic.

Thanks, Kyle.

It had crossed my mind that it was a plug-in issue. Don't like it, but at least I know it's not something I am doing wrong.

As for SiteContent, I have been using it for my images, since it was released. It's great. I misunderstood about the compression.

Does this mean if you use the images through SiteContent and add any others to your SiteContent image library that we do not need to use any image compression plug-in?

Hi, everyone.

When researching recommended options for my website. I have noticed several different recommendations saying that RSS should be an option on your site.

I use it. The important thing is to make sure that in the WP feed settings, you select the option to only show the "summary" of your posts in the feed, not the full content. Otherwise subscribers have no incentive to actually visit your website. ~Jude

Thanks. That is a very good point. I'll make sure I check that box.

Its advantage will be sending feeds or developments from your site to your subscribers, I am not using it but I will like to explore that. Just try coz its not harmful.

I agree and I will probably set it up. I was curious what others thought about it.

Thanks...something for me to look into...Also

I have it set up. I do not use RSS feeds but I know several people that do. It can not hurt.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. Just did want my site to appear old-fashioned if RSS was considered an old person tool.

The use of RSS dropped significantly among "normal" people when Google Reader was canceled in 2013.
People now get their news feed via social media.
It is still in use, however, but it is a bit of a "nerdy" thing to follow an RSS update.
But since it's no big deal to set up, it's no harm in having it on your site.

This is kinda what I was thinking. I will probably set it up then. It can't hurt.

Indeed they are. Here's the latest news. http://www.voidcan.org/top-ten-rss-feed-directories/

Thanks, Mike.

You always have the links we need. It amazes me how much info you seem to have at your fingertips.

I have been doing some research on what are the top hosting sites. I can find many top 5, 10, and 30 lists from third parties.

One site states that for the 30 sites the

The Managed Wordpress hosting you have access to here at WA is matched by very few hosts in the industry in terms of quality, security, speed, and support. It definitely is not a budget host like the other shared hosting companies out there. The hosting you get here at WA is comparable to $250 per MONTH hosting packages.

You can learn more about it here and you can see the comparisons to the other top players in the managed Wordpress hosting space.

http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/hosting/

You can host up to 25 of your own domains and 25 free .siterubix.com websites on your Premium hosting platform here at WA.

Thanks, Kyle. This is what I was looking for.

One more question. I love the comparison table on that page is that some we can put on our sites? Or should I make up my own?

The table should be in the Banners and Links section and yes, you can also make up your own comparison table.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Edu

Thanks. Do you know what type of hosting we have here at WA? I am assuming it's VPS, but I cannot find anything that says specifically.

Maybe you'll find an answer in this link:

https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/hosting/

Kyle is completely correct in his description of the hosting here at WA.
In fact, if I for some crazy reason, should no longer need the training, the network and everything else WA offers, I would still keep my premium membership just because of the hosting.

I completely agree. The more research that I do on the other options that are out there the more I know I made the correct decision with WA.

I have to set up a staging site to work out a problem on my live site what is the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance for your time.

-Frank

I have great success with Updraft Plus backup/Restore plugin as it works great alongside WPOptimzer which is freaking awesome at cleaning up your site and getting the speed back. The best parts are you activate when you need then so back up your site, upload your back up to many different options like Google Drive or email it to yourself, deactivate it, then use the WP Optimizer right away. I have gone from red in my site health to blue by simply running this tool. Once it's done, deactivate so these plugins down slow down your site, then activate them when you need them again. Awesome 2 plugins that integrate together. If you decide to use them and have any trouble finding them in the repository let me know and I will send you links. All the best.

-Jair.
PS you got a little something on your shoulder there....

Thanks, I will have to look into these plugins I definitely could use WPOptimzer.

Hey Frank,

Marion Black introduced me to an awesome backup plugin: that I use before each and every update to my WordPress websites.

I also download the full website via FTP access about every 3rd month, but that is more in case I need an older version of a plugin in a hurry.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks. I will look at Marion's article.

If I share a post from my site to FaceBook the post has the wrong post title. The title is from another post on my site. It appears like it is the default somewhere, but I cann

definitely go to the source on this one Frank! https://www.facebook.com/help/

Thanks. I didn't think it would be a facebook issue. Definitely worth trying though.

You can try to go in your Yoast SEO social settings (not the main Social settings though). You can find these in your post editing page.

Thanks. That is the confusing thing. I have filled that out, but when I try to post from the site it comes up like my attachment above.

The article on Foraging that it is putting doesn't have this form filled out. I am at a loss.

Its a common mistake for some members to post without actually being on the post they want to share.
No point in posting from your Home Page for example.

Much better to go into your FB and post manually then you will know for certain you got it right.
Robert

Thanks. Problem with that is if a user wants to share it, it's wrong. Doesn't look very good when your site is broken.

Why not put a Share button on every post you want to share?
There are separate FB Buttons for that.
Robert

That is also a possible solution. Since posting my question I have figured out the problem. Now I just need to figure out how to correct it.

Using the Facebook debugger I have determined that there are redundant OG tags in the file is holds the Meta Tag info. Just need to figure out where that is.
