It seems like getting a free account limits me in so many ways. As I am experiencing now as a beginner, following members a limitation.

Yup, there are limitation for being the starter membership. But you can still earn from Wealthy Affiliate. You can still have the 2 free websites that you can make as your own online business. You can also earn commissions for the referrals you make. So there is no reason for you to not make money. Although premium membership will give you more training and lessons. Other than that, you can still earn as free member.
In addition to what Glen has said, let me quote the commission the starter member will receive
“Starter Members earn $4 for special offer referrals, then $11.25 monthly and $87.50 yearly commissions.”
Click the airplane icon at the top right and click Program Details in case you want to check that again.
Yes, you can. You still will earn commissions for referring premium members. Plus your revenue from your own websites assuming you monetize them.
