Hi Michelle, I've done this already because I agree... it's a lot...
All you have to do is click your photo in the top left, go to account settings and you'll be able to turn off email notifications from there.
Hope this helps! :)
There is also an “edit” button which allows you to choose the type of emails you want to receive to customize your experience.
