Writing content Daily - Whatever it takes

So far I am on track to my writing goal of 100 posts in 122 days. I've only taken one day off writing a blog post so far because I had so many comments received and therefore needed to return in kind - good problem to have, I say and gratefully received.

Plus I have not only met my writing goal, so far, I have improved my pop-ups and call to actions on the website.

Today I am home again from my day job for the second day due to my son being very unwell which means he's lying next to me on my bed so he feels better hanging out together while he's feeling pretty miserable. What that means is.... our kittens want to get in on the writing action. So as I write this post, they are lying all over my wrists because they want prime spot, my lap, funny how a laptop is called a laptop. I think I'll have to rename mine to 'kittentop'.... Not the usual writers block problem but felt like sharing with you all.

Today I'm re-organising my content nad menu because again after receiving feedback from my menu structure I had a solution come to me over night. It is so great to be able to get feedback here at WA it is very helpful.

But wish me luck negotiating this 'KittenTop':

I hope your son gets to feeling better soon. No fun, for sure!
ROFLOL the kitty is adorable!!
And WOW, how on earth can you write content daily? I do good with 2 or 3 days a week. Share your secrets, please!

An impressive stat, and may they help you succeed,
Laura

Thanks, Laura yes he's much better staying home again today but we have turned the corner.

After sharing my challenge and beginning to progress with it many people have asked the same which has inspired me to write a series of 'How to Blog Tutorials' - I am focusing them on my WA blog for my Marathon Blogging challenge of 100 posts in 122 days but once I've completed that I'll write a summarised training for WA members here - I'm afraid it won't be for a while. But much of what I do I've learnt from Kyle which he describes in the training here.

Oh the kittens have moved to my feet now :)

I'm still doing the training, currently on Level 5, Lesson 5. I struggle at times to write content. I'm hoping over tie this will get better.
Kitties want to keep your feet warm. LOL How many??

I'll be awaiting your learning posts/blog,
Laura

Success is at hand, you will be fine!
"R-E-L-A-X"!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Donnie, I relax in the evenings but it is morning here and that is when I write at my best! So I guess it's my 'hustle' time!

Hope the kittytop behaves Fleur.

Derek

They have finally decided to move to my feet and not my hands now I think it was too annoying for them :)

Wishing you much success with this goal but do remember this: If for some reason you do not reach your goal, but continue to write and work toward that goal (which we all know you will do!) you are a success!

Need more encouragement? ANY goal you reach with a "Kittentop" puts you leaps and bounds ahead of us using an ordinary "Laptop"!

Susan

LOL love it, Susan - love the Kittentop analogy. Thanks for your encouragement - yes all in perspective but sometimes you need to put pressure on yourself to get done what you actually want to achieve yourself!

You are just amazing, Fleur! I can't believe it! how do you manage to write a blog daily, you have to so fast and of course very well organized I suppose?
I love the kitty, I have five cats, love them so dearly, I hope your child will feel better.
Jacqueline

Thanks Jacqueline yes I've been thinking about that actually and is the topic of my post today. I do use Kyle's strategy of batching tasks - I was taught this by a productivity coach years ago. So to do tasks such as listing topics or keyword research all at once. So to do about 15 to 20 in advance. I have a spreadsheet I use that lists my topics, headlines, keywords and keyword data QSR etc and how many comments on each post. I then will add some to Site Content as drafts using existing templates I have and then each day go to Site Content and choose what I feel like writing about.

Maybe I will write about this routine as a post too - thanks

But a critical skill I have, an advantage over many others is I touch type. My mother taught me when I was a teenager and I did it in school when we used to all us girls need to learn how to type - LOL - look at all of us now, guys and gals!!!

This is what I'm blogging about today a great skill to have while we wait on dictation technology to improve

That is great stuff and super to hear. Continued success.

Thank you I appreciate your encouragement

Awesome, Fleur. If, no, let me change that to WHEN you succeed at this 100 post in 122 days, we will need you to start wearing a cape to show your superhuman powers. LOL
I am so cheering you on.
All the best,
Wendi :)

Fair point Wenda thanks - I absolutely know I'll achieve the writing goal - the sales referral conversion goal I have no idea!!!

From today I'm writing a daily tally of:
number of days left
number of posts written
number of referral sales (airplane) left to go

Oh, I will gladly wear a cape for the month of January if I achieve both these goals LOL I could say it was my beach towel as it will be summer here Downunder ;)

;))

Way to go, Fleur, with your content goal!
The kittens are adorable. I hope your son feels better soon.

Thanking you, yes they are, I forgot to mention that they will nip my hands if they're not getting enough attention LOL

My son, is sleeping so am hoping today will be a better day for him

Goodluck! I had planned to writr 1500 words a day in September and have stumbled so far on the month because of a cold.

I never realised how difficult it was to collect your thoughts to write while your sick haha.

Oh, that is a shame, I know the feeling. When you're well, write out a list of topics, and already researched keywords in a spreadsheet in advance. I am continually adding to spreadsheet ideas and also to Site Content so each day I get up and just decide which topic I feel inspired to write about. As they are topics I've chosen it isn't too hard to choose. But when you're unwell take the time out to rest too

That is one thing I really need to start using more are spreadsheets. I have all my keywords in Jaxxy and it is just a mess.

Great Goal Fleur - Everything you set your mind to achieve will be done and I know you have got this one!!!
Moving into the zone myself and off to write another blog
Go easy and enjoy
Vicki

Nice one Vicki I feel like we're both on a similar path :)
