The importance of an Online Community
I have been a member here since April 2017 and I have realised that I have not yet blogged about the aspect of the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) membership that was the reason why I joined. Can you believe it?
Why did I join?
The reason why I originally joined Wealthy Affiliate (WA) is because I was seeking a positive, uplifting, knowledgeable online community; particularly based where not where I am from. I live in a city that is regarded to be remote, therefore I wanted to transcend that distance via an online community. Most importantly I was actively seeking an online community knowledgeable in online marketing, blogging, affiliate marketing. As a result of a late night, google search, I found WA!
I remember when I did, it was almost like:
- I can't believe it
- this is too good to be true
- is it really as good as it sounds?
The answer is, WA is not only is as good as it sounds, it is better and regularly overdelivers.
But what is the Importance of an Online Community?
It is important because:

Who is in this circle of influence is absolutely that - Influential. What this means is, if you want to succeed in online marketing, as a blogger and/or affiliate marketing - you need to hang out with successful people in online marketing, bloggers and/or affiliate marketing. It isn't complicated. It's that simple. Interestingly, the number 1 thing they will often say (in any discipline) is to take consistent action.

So now I am working on a blog post for my website about the Number 1 reason why I joined WA - for an online community that I can:
- connection with
- learn new knowledge and
- is a global community

It's true that when I first join WA, I wasn't paying much attention to the community.
When I joined, I thought the community looks cool, however, I wasn't expecting anything from it.
With time I realized the best thing on WA, it's the community.
It's good to feel You're Not Alone. And when you write a post, ask a question, or share something. There're people who will take the time to reply.
It's look like nothing, with time you will see is everything.

This is a great community, I believe it is the main reason many of those who would quit early on, stay around to finish to success.
I too was excited about the community and it hasn't disappointed yet. I do believe it is the community that sets WA apart from all their competitors.

I joined in January of 2016 and I had pretty much the same experience. I thought it was too good to be true!!! I had been burnt so many times before that I was blown away by what I had found!
It took me less than a day of browsing around before I went premium. :)
Partly. I wasn’t sure if it was for real and was pretty gun shy. I did a lot of digging and was amazed at what I found. I am still amazed at the training and the willingness of this community help and encourage each other.

Yes it’s great that there are so many WA’ers willing to help others. It’s definitely a community.
Loved your comments about being the average of 5 people you hang around with...... it’s making me question who and why I hang around with some people mmmh!
LOL I hear you - its not about 'dumping' people out of your top 5 either its more about consciously choosing who you spend your time with and for how long
