My Internet Service is Back!
I have been without internet at home for 10 days and I am stunned to realise how much needing it has crept into our way of lives.
So what does it all mean?
- Well, I'm glad I have an awareness of how much we rely on it and to keep this in mind when planning on buying new movies etc.
- Loved seeing my son read more of his books and bring out more of his games from his bedroom book shelves
- Switching the modem off at night when we sleep, I think it's good for energy levels, I know I slept better when we had none
- I went 'old school' when we all had dial up and and I worked offline a great deal and drafted and then went online to upload.
- The experience was a reminder to not 'sweat the small stuff'. Although it was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. It was not a life threatening experience and I was more productive with my time.
But don't get me wrong, I'm also oh so glad it's back!!! Grateful for the reminder and returning to some better habits and now can cut my teeth into some Swaggers homework tasks - Yay!

It’s nice to know we can survive without the internet, even though it is important for us here.

Yeah I wish I could I am out in the country and far enough not many will come out this far. I love where we moved. But I hate that I had to give up my set up
Its unbelievable how we have become so dependent on it. Honestly I cant imagine living life without the internet. Glad you got it back.
I know do you remember the time you first tried to dial up? I distinctly remember it way Bevis in the 1996 and I had connected but didn’t know how to open the web browser- look how far we have come
The internet is needed today for just about everyone. I would lose 75% of my business without it. Glad your back.
I hope your service ha snot been affected by the whole NBN debacle? Mine has been a nightmare, and I live right in the middle of Sydney. In the end I terminated everything and now use a mobile service without any issues at all. ~Mark
I was just today talking with a friend about how important WIFI has become. I also think it's wise to unplug from time to time. Cool story, thanks for sharing!
Oh yes online is essential but I think time unplugging is too... that age old Thang everything in moderation
