I suck! Setting a Personal Challenge 1500 word plus. I mean 2000 word plus (Quality) posts to improv
Psst secretly the word challenge is 2000+ words but as I have just written a new post that only come in at 1748 words - I'm not being too hard on myself.
I have over the past 3 or 4 days taken an objective review and reflection on my writing/blogging efforts while I've been here at WA. Frankly I suck!
I have known for a long time that longer, quality posts are better. And for all the 'pats on the back' I have given myself, I looked at the past 20 posts that were focused on aspects of WA for my WA focused posts and now website and only 2 were over 1000 words. Now many came close in the 800s and 900s but...
Now not to be too hard on myself. When I arrived here at WA, April 2017 I found writing 300 words an incredible challenge. So I have deserved some level of praise and encouragement but it's amazing what the results are compared to your own assumptions.
Mental note, check the facts regularly not what you think you're achieving.
It is also a kind of relief because I haven't been achieving the results, financially, yet, that I've wanted to at least I have something tangible I can actively improve on.
So I am setting myself the personal challenge of writing regularly 2000+ word posts on my WA focused website from now on. I began yesterday by updating my WA review to over 2000 words.
Phew... I feel like I'm about to do 100 push-ups or begin an ocean sailing race... But I'm here to grow and learn so let's go.

But is your quality good? I bet it is. I need to make sure my content is actually quality and thorough. I wrote a Jaaxy review yesterday, it’s 1300 words of rubbish!
I wasn’t in the mood, I had a headache and I shouldn’t have started. I patted myself on the back thinking well at least that’s done, something is better than nothing right? WRONG.
I’m disappointed in myself and the fact that that rubbish is on my website lol. I will obviously go back and fix it but lesson to myself is that I should have written an easy puff piece not what should be a thorough review, or better still called it a day and not written anything.
Good on you for recognizing where you need improvement in yourself.
I think it's still good to get something written, maybe keep as a draft but it's good to just keep writing
My personal challenge right now is to throw off this depressive mood that has caught hold of me for the last few days.

don't beat yourself up, just figure out what needs to be changed and create a series of steps to get there. you're better off with a good post of 800 words then a meh post of 1,200 words don't you think?
I think you have set yourself a great challenge, Fleur. It surely won't be long and you will be writing posts with 2000+ words much faster than your initial posts. Having said that, it's not speed that leads to success but perseverance and you have a lot of this. So I'm sure your breakthrough is just around the corner.
So, what're a few more words?! You can do this. I am fully confident that you can reach inside yourself and pull at that 2000 word blogger, and have at it! You got this, Girl. Just do it!

Thanks Wendi, I'm officially adding you to my cheer squad - thank you. Yesterday updating my WA review to over 2000 words took time because of my internal resistance, subsciously mainly, I realise now. So today's post although not yet quite 2000 words was actually much easier - in terms of less resistance within myself - yay - I'll be writing 3000 word blogs in no time ;)

You can definitely do this, Fluer. Just remember to write naturally and like you are talking to a friend. It will happen.
And, by the way, you don't suck.
