Giving Tuesday
I'm curious to know. Particularly after Black Friday and Cyber Monday...
Did you give today on #givingtuesday? If so, what cause or type of cause did you give too?

I used to work closely with them when I lived there, and they are near and dear to my heart. :-)
I personally prefer to give to organizations that I feel give more to the cause than the executive. I like Goodwill, Salvation Army and St.Judes Children Hospital. They tend to give more of every dollar to the people that need it rather than giant 6-7 figure salaries to the Executives. I tell people to investigate where you are considering to give money to. I also like to donate clothes & supplies to other organizations like animal shelters. In the end, anything you can give, money, clothes, food or time is well received. Pass it on by giving anything. Thank you for this post and drawing attention to Tuesday!!!

Agree 100%. I try to also give to local chapters when possible. Charities can be like the government if you give to the national level. Jay
I have given to the Salvation Army, American Legion, USO this week. Jay BTW... thanks for sending this out.
Pleasure! I myself support several selected causes throughout the year. I was curious to hear if the highlighted day motivates people to do so outside of their existing giving routines
Thanks for reminding me...also, I love giving to this and hope others will also. That is the Wounded Warrior project and Disabled Vets organizations. Too often we forget about those that take of our freedoms.
The USO was doing a 2 for 1 with Johnson and Johnson so $25 = $50. Not sure about others. Jay

Special Olympics of Virginia. I support them because my son is involved in Special Olympics and I know how great what they are doing is to all the athletes. Full disclosure, I support them even before I had first hand knowledge. It's just a great thing to do!
Fabulous!
