Treadmill or rotary exerciser ?
Treadmill or rotary exerciser ?
Before answering the question we better know the meaning of both words.
A treadmill according to Wikipedia :
'is a device generally for walking or running or climbing while staying in the same place. Treadmills were introduced before the development of powered machines, to harness the power of animals or humans to do work, often a type of mill that was operated by a person or animal treading steps of a treadwheel to grind grain. In later times, treadmills were used as punishment devices for people sentenced to hard labor in prisons. The terms treadmill and treadwheel were used interchangeably for the power and punishment mechanisms.'
A rotary exerciser is harder to define since it is composed of two words with own definitions.
- A rotary according to Meriam-Webster is:
'turning on an axis like a wheel, taking place about an axis rotary motion.'
- An exerciser according to the free dictionary is:
' One that exercises or a device for exercising the body...'
The difference between treadmill and rotary exerciser is subtle, isn't it?
One is more related to labor, whilst the other refers to leisure and re validation.
What has this to do with WA?
All depends on your own attitude. If you see this as your work or leisure.
As long as the burden is on you and not on others...

A clever and yet a clear comparison. Nice post. I would say it is work. Because we do it seriously as we pay for it. And we have a goal to be achieved.
Nice post. Thanks for sharing. —Benjie
I am on my treadmill every morning for 30 minutes. It is drudgery. Boring. I can only do this if I play music. But it helps to keep me in shape. I missed a day a few weeks ago and felt guilt and disappointment.

Next time you go to the gym, look at everyone on the treadmills. They are all huge. A treadmill is not worth the time. You will never lose any weight on a treadmill.
Never, only sweat indeed
