How to socialize on WA ?
Besides following the training and building your own website and business
It is important to keep contact with your fellow students
and to lose some time socializing with others
Some tips
- The best way is to follow other members
and to comment on their profile and postings. - Another way is to interact with others
by posting your questions on the dashboard
or by posting them through live chat. - And last but not least,
you can use private message (a premium feature).
Give special attention to the newbies
By following new members and premiums on the WA dashboard you give them a special welcome and a feeling of not being alone in this!

What I had commented on was: that the newbie should keep into consideration when socializing within the WA platform.
Productive socialing about how to increase your website traction or ways to improve promoting your website is much more important to concentrate on, and can really decrease the learning curve.
Moreover, how hot it is today in the different parts of the world, is not helpful to incresaing the potential of our websites.
Just like browsing the WA platform can be counterproductive time spent, and doing things like submitting great quality content will potentially increase the odds of earning money on line quicker.
Adding good quality content to a new website is the most productive thing new website owners can do for their website: as far as I am concerned.

It would be great if it was like that. Also, I sometimes think it would be good to have 2 live chats, one for WA related topics and another one for socializing, sometimes there are too many unrelated topics and chats.

In my comment, I didn't mean for it to sound like time spent on the WA platform socializing is all counterproductive in nature.
When I was a new member (not all will follow the same footsteps I took). I spent hours and hours not doing the training nor adding new material to my website, getting intensely involved in the chat room. And commenting on every blog submitted by other members that I felt had some sort of important message to convey to the other members. (My opinion of what is business-oriented and what was not).
Being a veteran online marketer I felt I knew most of what was being taught in the training and therefore was looking for what was and was not working for others on the WA platform here.
I slowly realized that my websites suffered from this game plan. I quickly switched back into doing the training, building my website, and avoiding any socialization within the platform to give my websites a chance to build more traction quicker.
I had to literary set the timer on my cell phone to prevent from spending so much time just socializing and scouring through the data that is in the WA search box feature: preventing from spending all my time just looking around and reading.
(Unfortunately, this can be both productive and counterproductive)
Each individual needs to determine how much time is spent on the WA platform and how much of that same time slot should be spent on socializing with others versus going through the training.
Each website owner here at WA has different goals they are trying to achieve while on the WA platform. So each individual has to set their own time restrictions or they too may find themselves spending more time socializing than time spent learning something new to implement to their website.
I joined WA to find other aspects of online marketing that could help improve my website performances, in other words, increase its profitability and traffic gathering magnetism, not to meet new friends.
However, meeting new friends was a hidden jewel in the rough, many of them provided more insight and information than what they had put into their WA submitted blogs when I asked them about their material.
So all of my socializing was not completely wasted, some was also connected with improving my website. In the long run, we (WA members) need to control our presence on the WA platform to assure our time is spent in alignment with our goals, and not spent entirely making new business connections (which also can be productive in its own way).
I feel that the socializing aspect of the platform is mainly for those that have finished the training and have their website up and running profitability, and should be done through PMs as to not encourage newer members to get wrapped up in the social aspect of the WA platform.
Much like, how a lot of the online campuses teach their curriculum. Discussion threads are meant for learning and not socializing: socializing is only permitted in the designated areas. Violators are often given one mistake, then they will face punishment for ignoring the strict guidelines for teaching and learning.
We all have a different agenda with our WA membership (subscriptions) this means our time spent on the platform will differ from member to member.
Earn while you learn is greatly achieved when you can concentrate more on learning than on socializing. (in my opinion that is).

Getting lost on the WA platform with socializing is a real temptation for starters... and for some a source of inspiration and comfort as wel... i am thankful for those who encouraged and cheered me up, in so many ways... and it is without any doubt a great place to find answers and solutions to many problems.

Hi Fleeky, hope you're doing well. I've been guilty of not taking enough time to engage with folks here. I know I really should socialize more here.
I have a shyness problem, which I'm trying hard to mitigate. I'm just now starting to take action, however hard it is for me.
It's certainly a great feeling when someone replies positively to our comments. And you're right about reaching out to the new members, which I plan to do regularly now.

Ranking on wa is not a goal indeed... just reaching out from time to time is a way to keep in touch with others and to see what is going on. It is also a way to learn from others... without loosing focus of our own learning and websites...
