Tip 127 Easy Peasy backup plugin

With all the ungoing updates of wordpress, themes and plugins, it is always handy to make a good backup.

Lately I got stuck with my backup plugin and asked Site support for a better suggestion.

They advised the WP clone plugin by WP Academy. Wow that is an easy peasy one! Simple and effective.

Go to your wordpress dashboard > plugins> add new. Type WP clone in the search bar. Install and activate. It looks like this:

Once done, go to your wordpress dashboard > WP clone. And create a backup. You can save on your own cloud, disk or on WA server. It looks like this:

Good luck!

Easy no?

Welcome cal

Thanks for the tip, it was very helpful.

Glad you liked it

WP Clone hasn't been updated for about 2 years and it stopped working for a while. It's good to see that it's working again since the latest WordPress update

Marion Can't you just come back again as Ambassador. Damn I could do with you here right now. Same with Loes.

I miss you both so much. you both are so needed here :))

I'm still here, Debs, just not quite so much. I have lots to do for my own business.

Hi Marion!

That was my first reaction too, until I used it with success...
when code is well concieved, simple, and thought off
it seldom needs updates...

Thanks for the extra tip

😁

Wow, thanks Feeky. Nice and simple is good. Can you use it to create a back up and then disable it to keep your backups down to a minimum - going back to it as needed.
Ray

Yes...

Sounds like a breeze. I try to limit plugins, but it's nice to know about good options in case I ever need them. Glad you shared this! :)
Colleen

You can always disable the plugin when you do not use it

I asked in my head and here it is. Thank you.

Welcome...

Another Great How-To! Thanks Fleeky, I was just thinking about doing a back up and was wondering how to go about it. Now I know. Thanks again.
Jay
