Tip 115 your profile on WA
Your profile on WA
Your profile on WA matters. It really does.
- Take time to complete your biography or life story. Something that tells about you. It has not to be long. Just the essence. Keep the roman for later.
- Have an image that stands out and catches attention. Not the picture of your pasport where you are no longer allowed to smile . Imagine... only pasport pictures here ... brrrr. ... cold world. .
- If you have a website or social media profile, share them on follow me on. Remember the public space is NOT the place to advertise them.
Going throught the websites of others there is an almost natural feedback or comment that occurs. Wether on site or in PM!
Thank you for liking, comments and sharing
Wht is it that makes you follow another member?

Thanks. How do I add my website and social media links to my profile page?
Wish my profile picture was as compelling as this gorgeous bird! Nature dazzles me! Cheers. AJ

As for the links, see pictures
Or here Tip 105 How to add your links in your WA profile?
Good thoughts as usual, Fleeky.
I don't know if I have any rules about following. I was pretty indiscriminate when I first joined WA.
But now it's more about feeling a professional connection with the person. Maybe something they've written or a response they've left.
What about you? What are your criteria?
Yes Fleeky this great, it is nice to know who we are speaking to lol - could be a psycho spammer on the other side hehe
Sorry was following another convo - it has to be Mickey for me, he is the one I related to not Walt...like I relate to Fleeky :)
yes, you are right to remind us, or at least me heh thanks! I'll put this in my hot training file.
As for your question one thing that is usually important for me is a real picture of the real person, not an avatar or some image of mountains, seashores, grasslands or puppies/kittens -- obviously a bias, isn't it ;) Still, I'm troubled that people won't reveal that basic aspect of themselves, it doesn't help build any trust as a first impression. Marc
I've done and let me add this:
I think the other thing I should add is that there is a tendency to follow someone if they have followed me and I've had some people I've followed that meet the 'picture' criteria on here that I've had to later unfollow or in one case, block from PMs. So a 'real' picture is only about first impressions, that's it! Hope that clarifies my point. Marc
right, but a lot of those are pictures of cars it seems. Generally you can tell if a person's picture is a fake-ish one. although I guess new CGI is going to allow us to create realistic fake videos and pictures, for example, of politicians making some announcement that is totally faked!
