Especially when all goes wrong
it helps to relativate
It sounds almost like have some self-mockery
But is it more subtle, civilized and respectful

To distress
When all gets too serious
Why am I posting this?
oh well, my sister called me
and we had a nice conversation about our childhood,
bringing up a lot of memories...
You were so good at laughing at your self
it distressed us all
(Living in a war zone
is not exactly a relaxing environment indeed)
never realized that
Perhaps because it has become a second nature
over the years
The French say
"mieux vaut en rire que de pleurer"
meaning
"better have a good laugh than a bad cry"
There is great wisdom in it
and since covid and all the jabbing
humor is back
A way to distress from situations
that often become unbearable
if we stick to them
What is my point?
Do not get too serious
have a good laugh
Not mockery,
which is a hurtful way
Just laugh
to better days :-)))))
Do not let the cough take you into the coffin
That too shall pass...

Laughter is definitely the best medicine, as they say! I was lucky enough to have a very happy childhood and I continue to value happiness, which is not necessarily expensive.
Love your photo! It reminded me of the Led Zeppelin song, which so many have butchered in guitar shops, to the point where playing even the first two bars will get you thrown out faster than you can figure out what happened. 😊
