I finally managed to set up the google analytic 4
Maybe it was easy for some, not for me.
so after some trials and errors
and using the google kit plugin
finally a no mistakes screen popped up.

With google kit plugin, ways easier
1. You need to transfer your old UA to new analythics,
2 . And there, make sure to copy the code and add to your website with a header plugin, (or ask sitesupport to do this)
3. Install plugin, activate and connect (give it 24 hours to show up)

You are not alone I am struggling with it also!!! It says I have until July 1st so I will try to tackle this again next week! I am glad I am not the only one to have the same issue. I see so many people saying how easy it is, but it isn't in my case.

Yes, I've been using GA-4 since it was introduced.
GA-4 and GSC are two very essential tools. For example, without GSC, I wouldn't have quickly discovered the recent hack on my website!
I know a lot of people use Google Site Kit, but it can slow down your site.

Site kit works fine and gives instant access to your GA and GSC dashboards...
I use database cleaner also. For,those who not know how, ask,site support. Speeds up instantly (am using plugin to do so, but with cron, hickups )

Site Kit only provides a small sample of the available data in GA-4 and GSC.
Please be careful with database cleaner plugins. One created errors on my original site, and it took Site Support quite a while to get it all straightened out.

Not sure why some site needs them not all.
Jay's training did not use any additional plug-ins to install GA4.
However, it is a helpful plug-in to have.
