Amazon works
Uh... Amazon really works
After using amazon links and API.s (too soon) I got the rejection letter for the third time. Oh my! All the work and research ! Over and over again... nuts right?
Ranting about it, and seeking advice on the WA platform Steve Mand and Maxine Georges got me on track again.
So this would be my advice if you get rejected.
1.
Write amazon to extend the probation time. I did and got another automated mail with the rejection and the possibility to give feedback. I clicked that link and gave a very bad note. Then I motivated my problem of starting over and over again and seeing small fees just disappear and references not attributed. Urging them to work not only on happy customers, but also on happy affiliates. Stressing out also our learning period and sites, that are still growing. And yes. Extended.
This is the result today
yes, right! Multiplicand by 5. Wow... within a week. All sales attributed...
2.
Keep, it simple with links and use the site stripe in your amazon toolbar
Search your product in the search bar and refine with departments (1). If you are happy with the products, just click text (2) in site stripe and this page is referred. Simple! It gives a bunch of products also.
3.
Wait with API as long as you are not established as affiliate.
4.
Ask other members to reciprocate a sale.
5.
Last but not least
So to answer that urgent question does Amazon work? Yes, it works!
Thank you for liking, shares and comments
Hope this helps a few of you in the process.

I was with Amazon.ca but I didn't feel being affiliated with the Canadian version was worth it. When the bye-bye letter arrived from them I did not do anything as I think I will attempt to sign up with the American version if no problem arises from that.
Better stick wIth local first and write and ask for extension
Ps
So you,not looze your effort, and ask, friends to buy small things
I wish I'd known about the probation period as well before signing up as an Amazon Affiliate. With no traffic going to my site how could I expect to make sales? That's awesome that you got an extension and congrats on your sale!:)
Joy, joy, joy!!!
We're you ever given the extension or did the sales now make it official and you're an "Amazonian? 😊
Yay Us!! 🌟
Well like you, I've been rejected for the 3rd or 4th time. As you say it gets tedious and disheartening.
I don't know enough members who would want to assist by purchasing a small sale to help qualify, so I'm in a catch 22 situation.
I even tried to give my mom so money in PayPal so she could buy through my link - but that didn't work out either.
I don't know where to from here with Amazon Associates.
My niche covers a range of products, but if I can't get 3 simple qualifying sales, what is the use of promoting a product you can't get a commission from?
Oh my!
Sounds familiar indeed
Do not give up. It works. Make sure first you get extended probation time, and then seek members here that you think can be of help in reciprocate sales
Hi - have you checked to see how much traffic you are getting? If you are not getting sales that would imply you are not getting enough visitors to your site. Are you adding valuable content on a regular basis to attract Google's attention to place you higher in its rankings?
Enough visits
Just adding links wrong way
Did not work
Id was not there
Etc...
Even here wIth wa
All aff links without my id
The cache is terrible

They recommend you apply for affiliate programs after you have visitors visiting and your site is more set up.
Also use Facebook and any product. I got my 3 sales by posting a link to the favorite author's new book sale in a group I've been apart of for years. I got 7 sales, for a commission of $0.56, but I still got the sales. Do NOT spam though. If you are in a book group that allows book sales of authors, or someone asks a question about something and a vitamin product is an answer, you can say that's what you use. That type of thing.
Yes... all true
Thank you
