I now have two medium.com accounts going and can't figure out how to access either one. I also don' t understand how to access my homepage. Does anyone on here know enough abou

https://medium.com/m/signin

Thank you, Jay!

Okay, now I have another problem. I apparently have two Medium accounts. The newest one is the only one showing something published. I have two items published on the other one, but can't figure out how to reach it. Any suggestions?

different email address - or do a search in your emails for the signup name....

I tried the latter -- Think I have it sorted now, though still not sure exactly what I did.

Thanks for an answer from one of my favorite advisors!

Glad you have it sorted Fran....
thanks for the motivation to carry on helping out here....

Some of us need all the help we can get. If I have a question that really stumps me, you are one of my go-to people.

Hi Fran

You sign in with your user name and password and then use the menus (select your profile picture) to navigate the site.

Select the Medium logo (or the home icon on the smartphone app) to go to the home page.

Frank 🎸

Thanks -- but can't find a place to sign in. Will try the logo thing.

Where is the Medium logo? Gee, I must be dense -- can't seem to navigate that site at all.

Are you all set now with Medium, Fran?

For right now. Have deleted one account and have the things I've published on the other one. So far, so good.

Excellent! 👍😎🎸

If I enter a phrase under keyword research and it comes up to be a <10, what does that mean?

It just means that in the past, there have been fewer than 10 searches on that exact keyword. That doesn't mean it's not a good keyword, though.

I always thought it meant "less than 10". Am I correct?

Nancy

Hi - no, see my response and my post on the subject.

Hi - you may wish to read my post.

Thank you, Diane! That's exactly what I was looking for.

Maybe I need to watch a video -- can anyone tell me if our AI balance is increased at certain intervals, or when we run out our only choice is to buy more "points"? If there is

Go to Hubs, Click Add Content, then look at the bottom where it says buy more credits click that button to tell you how much it is. You get 1500 every month as a plus member. If we run out, we click that button to buy more credits. Or if you run out, you wait until the following month. I've used up more credits because I went longer than 1k words. That should give you 15 articles at the most at 1k words. The remaining credits might give me about maybe 8-10 more articles.

Thanks, Brenda. I knew how to buy them; just wasn't sure if more credits were given and if so, how often. Your info helped.

Great explanation, Brenda. That wxplains the use of credits, used with Ai.

For those who are premium members, you get 100 credits. Apprently refreshed each month, as well,

Rudy

Rudy, I understand that the 100 credits are for the AI Designer (the outline). The AI Author (no credits for Premium members at this time) is not ready for you until after the beta testing phase is over with P Plus.

Hey, Rudy, hope you and Wanda have a wonderful Christmas! Will you make it to Alaska this summer?

Yes, once a month. So now you know. I was covering all bases here in case others might also want to see this information.

Good idea!

Oh, right, I didn't specify. Thanks for the clarification.

Rudy

😀

Thanks Fran! Merry Christmas to you!

Its possible that we may make a trip up to Alaska this year! Im getting itchy for a road trip!

Rudy

Well, there's lodging waiting for you here in Glacier Bay -- and I should be able to cook up a halibut meal.

Hope you make it.

Sounds great, Fran. We hope to make it this year!

I know there is a way to do this, but cannot remember how. Moreover, have created a PR account and need to use the email address provided to them. How do I create such an email

Hi Fran. Sorry this is a little late after your original question. I was just curious. I understand you successfully set up your domain email account but did you also arrange a forwarding of those domain emails to one of your existing personal email accounts or are you accessing your domain email through WA?

Sorry for the late reply. Glad you figured it out and save the link from Kyle for “just in case.”

Here is the training on how to create domain specific email accounts Fran:

Figured it out by myself. However, watched the video and found you have a couple other helpful bits of info in there. Thanks, Kyle.

Hello Kyle. A few months ago we tried to set up email forwarding for a domain email we created but it wasn't working properly so we contacted Site Support. This is what they said:

"Hi Candp,

Traditional email forwards are an outdated method of bringing mail over to a different mail account due to modern spam prevention protocols like SPF. Our mail servers are not authorized to send mail for the origin hosts that are sending mail to you. If it were acceptable to do this, any mailserver could send mail for anybody. Since protocols like SPF were invented, old mail forwards have been getting less and less reliable as recieving servers tighten their spam policies. Preventing this is why policies like SPF were invented. This old, legacy way of bringing mail over to a different mail account has come to an end and should not be used. If you wish to bring mail over from one mail account to another, you need to setup a feature such a gmail's "Settings => See All Settings => Accounts and Import => Check mail from other accounts" feature. You need to set your mail inboxes to receive mail at WA and turn off forwarding"

You seem to be saying that email forwarding is still perfectly okay. Can you please clarify because we would really like to get forwarding set up if it is still an acceptable procedure.

Hey, found it all by myself. You go through site manager and you select "email." This spot allows you to set up an email using your website name.

Oh okay. It wasn't letting me get in after I had subscribed yesterday, Fran.

What wasn't letting you get in? The website? Something else must be going on there.

Tomorrow will send out new post and you should receive an automatic message once it's posted. You can then use that link to read the new post.

It said about 12 hours, but I still have nothing, although, I might bet something soon, Fran.

Jeff

You won't get anything until I publish the new post.
That won't happen until tomorrow. Then the notice will be sent to you automatically. Just wait for it.

Sounds good, Fran.

Jeff

You should be able to, Fran. I will watch for the answers that you get.

Jeff

Give it a trial run for me, Jeff. Go to fran@theliteratecat.com and send me a brief message.

Just got a message from Rudy, so I know it works. Yay!

Awesome, Fran. I have still not gotten my message from your site yet,

Jeff

See answer I just sent. You won't get it until I publish the post, which will be tomorrow.

Awesome, Fran. Thank you.
