Your Dream: Believe It And Achieve It

I get my best ideas in the hour or so before I fall asleep at night. Last night I realized I am in the middle of the process of bringing a burning desire to fruition. Watching my dream come true enforces the understanding that I can believe it and achieve it.

I have wanted to turn my garage into a room for the 10 years I've lived in this house. When I suddenly realized it would make the perfect office space, the idea consumed me.

Do the same with your business. Turn it into an idea that amps up your creative energy and dominates your thoughts.

The process is something you need to do if you want the Law of Attraction to work for you. I am glad I've had some time to plan each step of this office remodel, as it's given me opportunities to change my mind a few times and to decide the best way to proceed and exactly what I will need.

Do the same with your business. Take the time you need, but keep moving forward. A lot of visualizing is needed to get you to where you want to end up.

I visualize each night. I imagine scenes in my head where I bring friends to the house to see what I've created. I visualize the completed room in detail and how they will react when they see it.

My friend, Abigail, who writes and publishes, has a state-of-the-art studio, built for her by her son. It has three rooms: A main office area, a guest room, and a storage room.

Her office is beautiful, with full, well-organized books, desk, computer, files, and a couple of comfy chairs. She has a hard-wood floor with some nice oriental rugs on it.

My garage is built on a concrete slab. I'll have rugs over most of it, but am just as glad my floor is cement, as it will be easier to clean around the wood stove.

I call my office a "studio on a shoestring."

That visualization process is so important. Each night, I've contemplated some new part of the process, and worked out in my mind how I will accomplish that step. I must admit -- occasionally I get up with tape measure in hand and check the size of some spot I want to fill.

In watching this process unfold, I discovered that it's the same process, no matter what the goal.:

  1. Establish your goal: What you want to accomplish
  2. Visualize the project completed, and yourself enjoying the fruits of your labors.
  3. Once you've visualized where you want to go, plan. Make a list if need be of everything that has to happen for that part of your journey.
  4. Move forward, one step at a time, toward your goal. Each time you achieve a small step forward, celebrate your success; then do it again.
  5. Keep visualizing each day, imagining the project already finished. Seeing your goal completed tells your unconscious mind that you intend to attain this goal. Your burning desire can and will bring you success.

Sometimes during this process, you will find you need to bring in some outside assistance. Find the best person to help you with your present step in the process. I am fortunate to have some excellent woman friends here, who have stepped up and helped when I needed it.

Never give up. Let your burning desire fuel your project from beginning to end, and do not waver in your belief in your goal. Yes, begin with the end in mind.

I've found that having that burning desire helps a great deal when working out how to proceed. Your mind can explore the possibilities until you find the best way to move forward.

Take a break now and then to do some other task, but keep your big goal on the back burner of your mind, as you may stumble upon a great way to solve a current problem.

We can do this, friends! We simply have to take Napoleon Hill's advice: What we can conceive and believe, we can achieve. We just have to want it badly enough. Let that inner creative fire keep you burning, giving you the needed fuel to accomplish your dream.

    Well done, Fran!
    Keep achieving your dreams!
Small dreams like your garage/office renovation, can turn into bigger dreams.

I also have my best thoughts while lying in bed waiting to fall asleep. Sometimes, I even get up to write them down but then that turns into a staying up all night writing event.

Have a great week and keep achieving those dreams!

Thanks -- the dream is not really all that small. It's actually a big step toward getting me where I want to go.

I keep a small notebook and a pencil on the headboard of my bed, and when I wake up with an idea I don't want to forget, I write it on there. Then I don't have to get out of bed at all. I have a touch lamp; I put it on the low setting, grab my pencil and notebook, and write the idea down.

I've discovered if you want to write while in bed, use a pencil, so the ink won't stop flowing since you are lying down.

    Fran,
We must be kindred spirits, because I do the very same thing.
I never use a pen when I'm writing unless I'm writing out checks.

Good afternoon Fran, yes I believe in this process in a very big way. I also visualize what I want to be in my life, each and every day and the beginning of each week. I also write it down on paper and designed the proper steps for me to take. I have found out with belief and persistence and the will to see it through, it can all happen the way that you see it. Have a fabulous Sunday my dear sister.

Good plan...you should progress nicely. I hope you reach your goal easily.

Fran, I am a great believer in visualisation.

I visualise my end goal and work backwards and make plans to achieving it
