Still On The Road And Loving The Journey

Here is an update on my fun trip. This is my third blog about our travels.

Today we are still in Camden, Maine. We are truly enjoying the lobster. We've eaten it in some form every day, though we did take a break for supper night before last, and had Mexican food. Surprisingly, it was quite good, even though we are far away from Mexico.

The trees are just getting a good start on color change. We drove North and West for a bit of an excursion a couple days ago, looking for tree color. We found some good shots. In about a week there should be much more color, but unfortunately we have to go home.

Yesterday we went out on a boat trip to learn about lobster, besides getting a bit of a tour of the bay. The boat folks pulled a couple of lobster traps so we could see the process.

The young woman who was our "tour guide" showed us how they measure the lobster to determine if they are keepers, and gave us other interesting information about the creatures.

Meanwhile, I'm working on my websites. I have one more post to publish for the SAC challenge, and have it ready to go. We head back to Boston tomorrow morning. While we are there, we plan to visit a cat cafe. I will get pictures and a story for my niche website.

One tip: If you are traveling and taking your business with you, make sure your computer is up to the job. I travel with a small laptop that is a bit of a challenge to use. There are some things I cannot do with this computer, and it has been a journey, trying to figure out a way around the problems that arise.

However, I am quite persistent and will not let this challenge stop me. One error I cannot correct until I get home, but it is not vital to the operation.

I accidentally took the header and my picture off my Facebook page for that website, and cannot replace them until I get home to my image files. Sometimes my ignorance gets me in trouble.

Before you travel with a computer, be sure you know all the ins and outs of its use. You will save yourself some problems if you know you to do all your tasks before you travel.

Today is laundry day and preparation for leaving. We have to check out of this house tomorrow morning at 10:00. Then we're on the road again.

It's been a good adventure. We are going home with lots of memories, especially of all the lobster we have eaten.

Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. The lobster makes me hungry . The first time I ever ate a whole lobster was on a trip to Cape Cod, many years ago. Prior to that it was only lobster tail. Lobster sure is good eating!

Enjoy and have a safe journey back home.

Yummy, Lobster is my favorite dish:) And the trees are beautiful!

Yes, the lobster has been a phenomenal treat and the leaves are certainly beautiful.

Beautiful photo of the trees. They are just changing a bit now down here in CT. All the Best in your travels.

Thank you...we are certainly having a good trip.

All good things seem to pass by so fast. you got a wonderful choice.

Yes, we did. It's been a great trip.

I'm looking forward to more about the Cat Cafe! Have a good trip home.

I hope we can get in there. I have to call them soon and make sure they are open. We are planning to go on Sunday.

You had me at lobster :-) Glad you are enjoying your trip, and impressive you are still active on the platform! Dedication! Thanks for sharing, Fran!

Ooh, the lobster has been a memorable treat. I will miss it when we get home. Of course, if I could find some Alaskan king crab, it would be an all right tradeoff.

Haha! I agree!

Hi Fran, How nice to be on the road in the Fall. I'm from Maine and have been to picture perfect Camden several times. Still miss it much. Maine Lobster is the best-;)!

Well, you are from a lovely state. It is certainly beautiful here, and we have enjoyed seeing a bit of what Maine is all about. Yes, Camden was a nice choice for a home base.

Now I am starting to look forward to going home.

That time went very fast but sounds as though you have had a fantastic time Fran. Safe journey home.

We have had a good time. The food has been a real treat, but the scenery has also been great. I love the East Coast houses. So many beautiful places here. Wish I could take one of those houses home with me.

However beautiful a place, it's not home though. You will take the memories home though and enjoy them often.

Yummy blog post!

Thanks -- Certainly yummy lobster.
