One Of The Keys To Success In A Business

I may have found another piece of the puzzle that we need to find for our websites. We are told that the best way to succeed is to help others get what they want. This practice is one of the keys to success in a business.

Within your niche, have you discovered the kind of person who has a real need for something you offer? That is the person you want to target. The bigger their need, the better prospect they are for what you have. You need to find people who are actively looking for your solution.

For example, if you are in a diet niche, see if you can find the people who have a desperate need to lose weight, perhaps for health reasons. That person is most likely actively looking for a solution to their problem. Address your "pitch" toward those people.

Often, paid advertising is a solution. If you can ask the right questions in your ad, you might find a good response. Here's how that happened to me. I needed to fly from my home in a small plane to the dentist in Juneau.

I was concerned about the flight a bit because I found it harder to breathe with a mask. Then, I saw a headline on a Yahoo story that said something like, "Do you have to take a flight and are worried about breathing with a mask?"

Then they proceeded to describe a mask that made breathing easier. I bought one right away. The ad asked a question to which I needed an answer.

My niche is challenging, because I have not found a need that takes in lots of people. Sure, I offer products that are helpful to many, but nothing that fills a desperate need.

So, what to do? I am in need of ideas. Perhaps I can offer some kind of give-away to those who order from me. I do try to give good information about a number of questions people might have.

Research will give me some answers. I need to follow forums or groups or competitors' websites to learn what they are targeting.

Google, as always, is a good source of information. Ask questions about your niche, and you may find all sorts of ideas about the kind of things people look for in your field.

Once you've discovered a need you can fill, build out a campaign that offers your solution. Be sure to interact with everyone who expresses an interest.

With careful keyword research, you can create a compelling headline that succinctly addresses the problem for which you are offering a solution. Then write your story with care, covering all the benefits and strengths in what you offer.

This affiliate marketing business is to me a bit like an intricate puzzle. I am continually looking for missing pieces. Like with any puzzle, if one works on the solution long enough, one will be able to solve the problem. May you find all the pieces to your puzzle with ease, and blaze a trail to success.

Hi Fran
I just read your post and like your writing and your advice.

Here is a thought to what you mention about sticking to one niche, and gathering forces rather than scattering them.

It could be true. But watch a tree. It first grows into the wrong direction, towards the ground. That's where it finds substance, food. It grows into every direction it possibly can and creates a network of wires that will later on feed the tree. Then, at some point, all the nutriments gather into one stem and it starts to grow in the total opposite direction, towards the light. But without first growing to the dark bottom, it would never be able to grow up afterwards. So as long as we are resourcing and nourishing ourselves from the ground we're in, it is because we still need it. Until we are ready to grow upwards. And at the end the tree starts to scatter again, but up on high this time, in the air, and visible to all. Branches grow in order to drop fruit all over the place around him. And there ends the story. Then the cycle starts again.

Good luck
Seb

A nice analogy, Seb Thanks.

You have made some really valid observations Fran, thank you. Groups (FB or others) and forums are a great place to find various issues, especially in the comment sections, where people generally tend to air their grievances and problems.

Thanks for mentioning comments. Will be sure to look at them.

Very welcome.

Very nice, Fran! Great post!

Jeff

Stay well.

Thank you! It's a start to the search.

I’ve still got a hundred miles to get to zero!
