Nikken Magnetic Insoles Save The Day

I just wrote my longest post yet for my WA website, and a small part of it is a story I would like to share with you. Every time I think of it, it cracks me up, or at least brings a chuckle, so I wanted to give you a laugh as well.

As some of you know, I was in a MultiLevelMarketing company called Nikken for 10 years. I loved the company and the products, and learned a great deal from the experience. The company started out with one product, called magsteps, which are magnetic shoe insoles.

In the beginning days of the company, the owner went door to door selling magsteps, and from that simple beginning he grew a company which includes a full spectrum of health products.

The magsteps sold well because by putting them in your shoes, you allowed the magnetic energy to flow through your entire body, easing discomfort and bringing health benefits.

Before I tell my story, I need to give you a little explanation on how the magsteps work, so you will understand what happens. We learned something we called a "strength test" to demonstrate the power of the insoles. Here is the procedure:

Tell the person you are testing to stand facing you, arms straight out in front of them. You explain you are going to push down on their outstretched hands, and you want them to resist when you push as much as possible.

Once they are ready, you push down on their hands, and invariably the person's arms will go down.

Then you have them stand on the magsteps and you repeat the test. When they stretch out their arms and you push down on their hands, their strength has increased dramatically. Chances are you won't be able to push the hands/arms down this time. After the test, most people want a pair of the insoles.

We put this technique to a good test one time. We were driving across Canada, three of us, all Nikken distributors, headed for a company event. The land was wide open and the road was deserted, so my friend's foot got a bit heavy on the gas pedal.

As you read this story, think about the driver of the car and about the character qualities he demonstrated during this experience. We'll come back to look at him again at the end of the tale.

For this story, it is important that you know that our driver was an Alaskan Native.

A Canadian policeman came roaring after us, lights flashing, and when we pulled over, he got

out and came to our car. We knew when we saw him that he was from a Canadian Native group. However, I do not remember his background.

The driver took note of his ethnicity, too, and while getting out his driver's licence, started a conversation, finding out the policeman's background. Thus they established a rapport.

Then, somehow, my friend managed to turn the conversation around to Nikken and magnetics. He told the trooper he wanted to get out of the car and show him something.

He took out a pair of magsteps and right there on the highway next to our car, he did the strength test on the cop. The guy was blown away. "I want a pair of those," he said. "Where can I get them?"

"You can have this pair," said my friend.

"Why, thank you," said the policeman, and tore up the ticket he'd been writing.

Canadian speeding violations are not cheap, so we undoubtedly saved a bundle of money, thanks to my friend's quick thinking.

Now, tell me -- What did you learn about the driver? I can think of several things. His quick, innovative thinking brought success to his idea. He took action swiftly; he was resourceful in solving our problem; he did not become anxious and upset, but remained calm and clear-headed..

I'd like to know what you thought of his actions. I believe his attitude illustrates well the way we should react to a tense situation. Keeping a cool head can help you in many ways.

I hope you enjoyed this short tale. It was fun for me to relive it, and to chuckle yet again at my friend's decisive action.

Great story Fran and well told.

I was working in Malaysia some years back and on a return trip from the country, we were caught for speeding. I said to my driver
a Chinese guy can we offer a small token to change his mind.

He said if you do it ( a visiting colonial) the cost will be a hundred but I can get away with $20 which we did and continued our journey.

The police wages were very low and they lived happily on gifts.

It's always nice to be able to reach a compromise, isn't it?

My in-laws told me about those. They did the test and were impressed by the results too.

Do you use or did you use the insoles yourself?

I used them for many years. I don't have any in my shoes right now because I have specially made shoes and I don't think they will fit. I do use other magnetic products, though.

Thanks great post

You are welcome.

You’re welcome anytime

Definitely very calm and collected Fran. Thanks for recounting the tale.

A good chuckle.

Great -- I loved it...

Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes keep calm and thinking fast.

I'm glad he was driving. I would have gotten the ticket.

Great story.
Brilliant thinking and action.

That man was fast; must have been the magsteps.

Great story... thanks for sharing it.
Keep cool when thing are not looking good.. Let your mind find you a solution... I like it.

Cheers

Yes, that's right...keeping cool lets you evaluate with a clearer head.

Very good story, my mom used to say a kind answer turn away wrath, the result of most situations depends on your attitude in your approach.

Right -- attitude is certainly important.

Thanks for the story... next time I get a lead foot while driving and get pulled over for speeding...I too will wish your driver was with me!

Yep, he certainly saved our bacon -- or at least our pocketbooks.

What a marvelous story. Not only did I learn the importance of staying calm in a tense situation, but I also see the importance of a pay it forward attitude. P.S. I would like to order some of these insoles!
Michelle

Michelle, unfortunately I am no longer a Nikken distributor. However, you can order them online at www.nikken.com.

Are you a believer in them?

Yes, I am. In my years with the company, I saw many miraculous things happen. I wore my magsteps for years, and feel like they kept the knee surgery at bay for quite a while. I still use several of their products.
