Napoleon Hill Was Right: Think It, Believe It, Watch It Happen

This is what my garage door looks like now. No more garage...inside, my fine office. This room is to me a minor miracle, but it's proof that if you have a burning desire to achieve something and don't quit, you can see your dream become reality.

I wish you could have seen the garage before I started working on it. It was quite full. It's still full, but organized and created into something useful.

This second picture is my "hallway." From the freezer at the end to the wall is my utility room -- after all, have to put that stuff somewhere.

Here's a little better picture of the "hallway."

Now, we go into the main part of the "office." Front and center is the wonderful wood stove that got me through winter while I was working out here. I had two stacks of firewood four feet tall against the garage door on the inside, and burned it all.

This is the bedroom alcove, suitable for an overflow of guests, afternoon naps, and a place to crash for someone working here late. I purchased the china cabinet to hold my grandmother's dishes. It had to be put out here because there was no place else in the house with enough spare wall space, so here it stays. Next to it will go a little clothes-hanging rack with two drawers underneath...My 10-year-old mastermind at assembly is working on it. He put together my desk, which won him more employment.

Looking the other direction, we see the office itself. The front of the desk is really pretty, but I wanted to be looking into the room, not have my back to it.

Here is a view showing the shelves behind the desk. Now they reside where the back of the garage door once stood. Sorry the pictures are not perfect...well, you get the idea, anyway.

Below is the sitting area for visitors. It also makes into a bed in case of emergency.

My friend, Kathy Hocker, just brought me this sign with my website URL. Thought I might as well give you the full-meal deal and include it, too.

Here's as close as I can get to a full view of the room. Toyo stove and black file cabinet on far side of yellow table.

And below, my motto...

Very nice Fran! You are so organized!

I have not been on here in months and may not be much for awhile still. Very busy with work. This is my first week back in the office since January. Summer is too short to waste so very busy as you know.

Jessica

Jessica, I've missed seeing you. Hope you can spend more time with us soon.

What an accomplishment, Fran!
...Complete with a place to rest your weary head!
Start with a Vision and keep doing what comes next.
Clutter and chaos around me, prevents much real progress, ...to many distractions.
Right now I'm clearing clutter from my mind, by taking care of some personal projects that are hanging and have been, like refinancing my house!!
Finally, it's done!
Now to focus on what's next and spending real time on my Vision.
Thanks for sharing this, Fran!
You're a wonderful model of "Believe It and Achieve It!"
Best!
Barb

Thanks for your kind message. Me, too -- more real time on my vision now.

That is spectacular!:) When can I move in jklol! I wrote poetry in the garage for 2 days after cleaning it out. There is a room in the back, I guess they call it squatting but I'm safe from my stalker here. It gives me inspiration we are garage office buddies! Wild Alaskan beauty, you make my heart sing.
Love,
Nurse Becca

Come visit any time you like. You can sleep on that lovely bed in the office. I'll wake you in the morning with a cup of coffee.

Well done Fran. It's always wonderful when you have a dream such as this and you work towards its completion successfully as you have done. The layout looks lovely and a wonderful space to do everything online in warm surroundings and with comfortable respite right there.
Hugh

Thanks, Hugh. I am very happy with my new place.

Looks super!

Well done! I am sure it made you feel so good and proud after completing the whole project. Thank you for sharing, Fran.
Cheers,
Evelyn

So glad it's done...now I can get back to work...lol...
