Lucinda's Lessons: Inspiration From A Cat
Here are a few of the principles that govern our lives. These are qualities that are basic to our nature, and I find that sometimes you two-leggeds do not give enough importance to these character traits.
First, know what you want. You must first decide what things in life are important, or perhaps vital for you to have. If your desire is clear, you can set it as a goal and work toward its success.
For example, I desired a home that is warm and comfortable, with good places to sleep. I desired good food served with regularity. I pursued these goals until I attained them.
In order to gain these desires, I have been steady in my movement toward them. One characteristic of us cats is that of persistence. We do not give up until we get what we want. This quality is a hallmark of our success. Be sure to incorporate it into your thinking and actions.
Don't be shy -- Ask for what you want. If you don't make your wishes know, how will anyone know to help you achieve them?
Once you gain something you feel is important, don't forget to show gratitude to the source. We purr for our two-legged and show affection so she knows she is appreciated.
Don't complicate matters. As a cat, if I just let my two-legged know in simple terms what is expected of her, I will be more apt to gain satisfaction from her actions.
Here, an example would be to say in clear cat language, "I'm hungry." This simple message works much better than creating an elaborate menu and stating exactly how a meal is to be made. Just the basic message gets results.
It's important to do your daily chores, but it is also important to save time for play and relaxation. Find a way to work it into your day, and you will improve your health and clear you mind so you can complete tasks more efficiently.
One good way to relax is to go outside and enjoy nature. Nothing is more refreshing than a stroll outside in the beautiful world we share. Spending time in nature is good for body and soul.
Also, to make sure you stay physically healthy and mentally alert, make sure you get enough sleep. Sleep is very important for us all, whether we have two legs or four.
Set up a schedule for your day so you use your time wisely. If you have a routine established that works for you it will help you reach success. You can then focus on what is important and you won't waste a lot of your precious time along the way.
If your relationship with your two-legged partner is a good one, be sure to show love often and generously. Love is its own reward, and will benefit both you and your loved one. It encourages positive action and helps ensure that your future wishes will be granted.
These are a few of the things we feel are important in life. Hopefully this list will also help you on your journey. May you find the shortest path to success and follow it with great enthusiasm. I wish you all well.
