Help Yourself By Helping Others
Last Update: Feb 7, 2023
Our training teaches us that it is important to help others, as this assistance to them will help us as well. Consider this quote: “You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough people get what they want in life." (Zig Ziglar)
Doesn't that quote pretty much say it all? Reach out to someone in our organization who asks a question or needs to know how to do something. By helping that person, we can do ourselves a favor.
It's kind of like teaching. It's been my experience that when you teach someone else something new, you strengthen your own knowledge. It must follow, then, that by helping another through a challenge, you add to your own ability to face your own obstacles.
You may also create a friend who will then reach out to you, and help you past your own difficulty. Here's an ending quote by Robert Ingersoll: "We rise by lifting others." By stepping up to help, we exalt our own position, and move upward.

Absolutely Fran... I am all about helping others as much as I can!
Whether it is through teaching, or just the day by day circumstances I find myself in!
I truly believe that the more we help others, the more we learn and help ourselves as well..
A great post as always my friend and enjoy the rest of your day!
Hi, Fran
I fully agree, and I have always been about helping others.
However, we can only help so many people, so I tend to focus on those who want to help themselves. I find this approach to be most productive. 😎

Hi Fran,
Great message indeed. We are fortunate to have such a culture ingrained within WA. I benefitted immensely when others helped me when I was stuck or needed to bounce ideas off.
As I write this a black cat is sitting on the table next to me watching what I'm doing. Maybe, Miss Emily is there waiting to see when I need assistance.
Cheers.
Edwin
Even the cats try to help!
Yes, I imagine most of us have benefited from being pulled out of a quagmire with a little help from our WA friends.
