Have A Faith In Yourself And A Faith In The Outcome

Well, now, yesterday's blog wrote itself on the paper so easily that I thought I'd try it again. I'm incorporating a couple more favorite quotes from one of my books in this one.

Have you ever had the experience of seeing something you've written on the page that astonished you? You read it and said, "That's quite good! Surely I didn't write that."

Well, maybe I didn't write these two quotes. Let's get a little weird here. Off and on over the years, I've practiced something called "automatic writing."

It's kind of a form of meditation, I believe. To write this way, you get out from under your conscious mind, rest a pen on the paper, and let it write. It's an amazing process -- I often just stare at the words, because they came not from my conscious, but from my subconscious.

It's a technique I've used when confronted with a problem that I don't know how to solve, and it's given me very interesting answers to my questions. Perhaps I should ask how to get traffic to my website. I wonder what I'd be told?

Anyway, I want to share these two quotes that I got from automatic writing. Here's the first one:

"Peace of mind comes when you win a war with yourself.

Keep the terms of the treaty simple: Love yourself."

Have you ever been involved in a mental battle over an issue that you don't know how to resolve? Have you beaten yourself up over some real or imagined error that you made?

Well, stop it! Blaming yourself for a mistake can go to extremes if you insist on continual self-criticism. Let it go!

Acknowledge your mistake; understand the consequences of your actions and what you need to do to make amends. Then forgive yourself.

None of us is perfect.

Here is the second quote:

"Faith is the certainty that it is safe to accept joy."

Think about that. If you have a resounding faith of any kind -- from religious to belief in positive thinking -- both come from an acceptance that your faith is real.

If you truly believe in something that is a force for good in your life, to the extent that you know you will benefit from your belief, then that faith should free you from any negative outlook.

Faith allows you to let go of fear. Faith allows you to believe in your dreams. Faith allows you to move forward when the whole world looks dark and dreary.

Faith is deliverance from doubt.

As far as WA goes, have faith in your ability to achieve your goals. Know that if you keep moving forward, you will eventually receive your reward.

Faith in a positive outcome allows you to be joyful in the present moment.

There you have it. By the way, if any of you would like to be weird like me and try my form of meditation, send me a PM and I'll tell you how I do it. Perhaps you can find a similar technique that works for you.

“The only way to avoid having a failure is to go and sit in a corner and Wait To Die.” Tom Short.

Thank you for your time,

Tom.

Thanks much, Tom.

Thanks for sharing Fran,
I love the quotes!
This sounds like a good way to get inspiration, I’ll PM you for more information.
All the best,
KyleAnn

Will be watching for your message, KyleAnn.

Fran - That’s such a lovely post thank you so much for sharing. It’s so true - meditation takes us to a state of heightened awareness and consciousness. And faith is a powerful factor in removing fear and anxiety which frees our mind of the barriers that we create to achieving our goals. We keep moving forward! 😀

Up the ladder!

"Faith is the certainty that it is safe to accept joy." - I dig this...positive affirmations are the basis of how I live...

"I am"..is how I like to start almost every sentence, such powerful little words...

Thanks Fran, lovely quotes and great post ;-)

I love positive affirmations! They are definitely helpful.

Good post .. you’ve read a lot of positive .. it comes out in your writing ..
thanks
Tim

Positive is so important, don't you think? I hope I can keep that positive machine cranking out good stuff.

Hi Fran,

Lovely post. Yes it is great having faith in your dreams and yourself. I think I use a similar technique to you but it comes either driving or just as I'm waking. My mind drifts and if I ask a question, which is usually what am I going to write about next. Suddenly, there is an idea.

Always fun.
Great thoughts, have a positive day.

Lily 😊

Great -- Sure, you are getting in touch with the "internal author." That entity can be very helpful.

Fran, now I know how you come up with these fantastic blogs! Gotta hear this. Spot on as always. Okay, I've been busy today with my semi-retirement and checking out SEO and backlinks. Will come back to you on those.
You've got more day left than I do, so have a good day!
Joe

Actually, I just stole from former writings...have not tried to create a blog that way. I might just do so.

Let me know how it works

I would like to know how you meditate.

Send a PM and I'll tell you what I do.
