Experience An Imagination Adventure

Last night the subject of my bedtime meditation was imagination. I never know for sure what the subject will be until I go to bed; then my brain comes up with so many good ideas that I keep a notebook at hand so I can write them down. Last night I had an imagination adventure.

How active is your imagination? I'm currently involved with a little group who is reading Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich." Edwin Bernard is our guide.

We read a chapter a week, and then Edwin writes a post in which he summarizes important points of the chapter. At the end of the post, we can each make comments if we wish.

Imagination is one of the chapters in Napoleon Hills' book. He calls it "the workshop of the mind." It is the center for all our creative thinking. Do you use this creative tool often?

As a young child, when I went to bed every night, I played "mind movies" in my head. I'd imagine myself as a spectator or a hero in some little "play" my mind would invent. Now I can see that the "movies" stimulated my creative powers, and were a positive thing.

As I grew older, these mind movies happened less and less, and my imagination eventually became used to create a framework for interacting with my world.

I built a dream and then lived it when I built my house on my Spruce Island, Alaska homestead. For 20 years, my imagination became a tool for solving problems of wilderness living.

Then I moved back to Kodiak and started a full-time shop in a hotel. Imagination helped build that business, yes, but then when I retired and moved to the small town of Gustavus, Alaska, my imagination seemed to be put on hold.

Why plan any more goals? Why dream more big dreams? My life had settled into a pattern of acceptance of my circumstances, and my imagination seemed to be put on a back burner. Then I joined Wealthy Affiliate.

Suddenly I needed to set some goals for a new business. Time to wake up the creative force. Time to use my imagination to figure out a plan for this new experience.

That important tool had become a little rusty, so I'm polishing it up so I can use it for this new journey. Imagination would create the structure I needed to move my new dream forward.

Einstein said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, simulating, giving birth to evolution."

Imagination becomes powerful when you turn it into manifestation. You have to first imagine every single thing you create. Creation begins in the mind and then it becomes a physical reality.

Therefore, create a positive image of what you want in your mind. Create it in great detail Give it time to grow (Law of Gender) and then enjoy the reality.

Try this: Spend at least 15 minutes a day imagining what you desire. Think about your dream in a positive light; pretend you already have it. In this way you can gradually turn what you imagine into reality.

We are creators of our life. Why settle for some humdrum existence when we can have our heart's desire?

Make your dream worthy of your mental power. Imagine it in detail, believe in it, and watch it move into form.

Imagine an exceptional future for yourself.

Kelso,
That was a great post and had great value and we have not done this and need to look at the things they are doing around them. I have to open my eyes wider so that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel we will keep walking.
Great share.

Cheers,
Mathew&Deloris;

Yes, by all means keep walking. Others will be nearby and may be able to shine a light to help you see.

Really great!!
The imagination can also be the beginning of the plans of our new life. Our imagination can be a great source of information. Since childhood, I have been a big dreamer and I have accomplished beautiful things thanks to my fertile imagination. The imaginary world can really become real.

That's very true, Ingrid. Glad your dreams have been helpful...that is a very good thing.

Someone, wisely said that everything exists twice. Everything exists somewhere before it is created.
One of the most important steps to realising that we can create anything we want, is that we never act as if we already have whatever it is that we desire.
We have to build the world into which we want our thoughts to manifest.
Great post Fran.

It helps to manifest our desires, though, if we act as if we already have them.

Was watching a biography of Killer Charles Manson oddly his guru was Dale Carnegie, you know the book How to win friends and influence people, I believe that was the title.
Anyway he used it's info to influence people in the wrong way!

Funny how some info can be used for good and some bad 🤯 hopefully only good!

Too true. Imagination is a tool, and the way we use it depends on us.

Love this Fran.
I often say that children's imaginations should be encouraged and they then become the innovators and inventors of the future.
I usually meditate in the morning it prepares me for the day.

We literally do create our world with thoughts.
When I look back it's so clear. The trouble is you don't realise it at the time and many dismiss it as coincidence.
It's dreams and planning that keep the imagination alive and us living longer in pursuit of those dreams.

Glad you have been able to recognize it. Yes, we are the culprits.
