Do you practice premeditated success?
In the book, you will find a very simple idea that makes a lot of sense. As you move forward toward your goal, eventually you will come to a fork in the road, where you have two choices.
Go one direction and you move toward your goal, or towards what you want. Turn the other way and you move away. The spot where the "road" forks is called the "Moment of Truth," or the MOT.
To make the right choice at this intersection, you need to know where you are going and what you want. Think of the first part of your travel along this line toward the MOT as your want or intent.
When you choose the direction at the MOT, you will either move toward your want or intent or away from it. That choice is a conscious success decision. The more times you move toward what you want, the sooner you will get there.
Here is an example: Say you are on a diet, and you are doing pretty well. Then you go to your mother's house for dinner, and for dessert, she serves your favorite cake. Now you are at a MOT. Can you resist the temptation of a piece of that cake?
Remember that if you make the wrong choice, you are not progressing, but going away from your goal.
The term "premeditated success" implies that you plan ahead for success, through intent and through deliberate, calculated action. If you makea positive choice at the MOT, it strengthens your belief in the goal. That in turn helps you move forward.
Look for everything in your life that moves you closer to the goal. Your patterns of thinking can be helpful. You have the power to choose what your thoughts will be. If they are negative, consciously change them. The choice is yours.
Often our #l enemy is comfort. Instead of comfort, make choices such as happiness, health, and wealth. Get out of the comfort zone and move toward what you want.
MOTs become a battleground where we fight for our future. Each choice toward our goal brings us closer. The higher level of passion and commitment you have toward your goal, the greater your want and the clearer picture you have of where you are going. Your desire for a result must outweigh the pain of change.
Tools that might help to grow success include reading books about people who made great accomplishments. Read some autobiographies of famous people. Read stories about overcoming obstacles. Reading allows us to see our potential and helps give us the ability to overcome our handicaps.
Cultivate a vivid imagination. When children learn to read early, it can help them develop this wonderful power. Imagination teaches you to visualize, helping create an image you like for your future.
So, when you travel the road toward your desire; your intent; your goal; each time you come to a MOT, think about where your choice will take you. Will it move you in the right direction? If not, you might want to reconsider that choice.

If I had time I probably SHOULD check out a book to help with my success! I'm making updates slowly. If I understood google anaylics it says I've improved 30% since last month, whatever that means? I guess I just need to be patient with my updates..
Good post!

That's right...You should read my second "Lucinda" review, where she reviews Aesop's fables...The turtle winning the race is on there.
Hi Fran, my gosh that is one of the best posts I have read. It is definitely a copy and paste for me. Thank you for sharing. Really it is excellent and I can totally relate.
I'm so glad it hit a resounding chord. I've noticed that many of us elaborate on similar ideas, but each of us seems to find ones that make special sense to us.
