Do You Know Who You Really Are?

Do you know why we hold on to old ideas, or old ways of doing something? If you ask lots of people, they may have all sorts of different answers. However, for the most part, these answers are dealing with secondary causes. They are not reaching far enough to hit the primary cause of the problem.

The real reason we hold onto old ideas is because we lack faith in our ability to obtain new ones. Such lack of faith leads to an insecurity which we have because we do not understand who and what we are. We are not aware of our true relationship with the infinite power of the universe.

You have to reach the point where you realize that your "true self" knows no limits. You are actually very capable of being, having, or doing whatever you desire.

However, when individuals believe that their supply is limited and that for security they must hold onto money or things, they will do nothing new out of fear of losing what they already have.

You must simply let your present physical results be a reflection of the past; then look into a bright future and build an image of the good that you desire.

Hold that image in your mind and believe that it will happen, and little by little you will see your dream materialize. Just remember -- do not let your present or past results control your thinking. If you do, you will not be able to get that dream to come true.

Therefore, form the image of the life you choose to live. This image will propel you forward into greater and greater good.

Do not let resentment or guilt take over your mind. These feelings are caused because of things in the past. Let them go. Free yourself from their shackles. Replace them with images or what you wish to bring into your life.

Expect to have the good you desire. Move forward into a much brighter future and do not look in the rear view mirror of your past. Become a visionary and think of what could be, rather than what already is.

Then move into a plan of action that takes you away from the old and broken past and toward a new and greater future.

Start to be who you want to become.

Absolutely Fran. I loved your post. Jim

Couldn't have said it better Fran!

Although I got to watch the rear view of my space craft, you never know what is following you, so you can act in time and gear up into a higher speed to leave them behind you lol... :))

Very profound.

Thank you Fran
Living in a future present...

Nice post, Fran, thank you for sharing your insights, the journey to the place you want to be, is that never-ending road, a life full of learning is indeed a life worth living.

As to the rearview mirror, it can be good to look back to see how far we have come and to remember that we were once back there, with our thoughts, dreams, and aspirations.

In doing so we can, in turn, relate to others who are where we once were.

Always look to be moving forward, I really like your closing statement.

"Start to be who you want to become".

That is so empowering, thank you.

Hey Fran,
Yes "built it and they will come".

Tried and True

Elaine

May they arrive soon.

Yes, Yes, and Yes! many thanks for sharing :-)

You are very welcome.

I am me and this is who I am and all of me is what you see :)
Great post my friend Fran.
I am a little concerned right now as I have seen a few cars hanging around waiting for a bedtime story :)))
Vicki

Cars? Or cats.

lol- Cars - Oh me lol

I cant stop laughing - you are most likely thinking I have completely lost it lol

Not yet -- you are just skating on thin ice...lol...

love it - still laughing - you rock Fran :)
hugs from me in NZ to you

Thank you, Vicki. Backatcha.

Fran,
You are such a wonderful person and this is an inspiring
blog - love it my dear and need to implement this way of
thinking myself :)
Thank you,
Susan

Thanks, Marley. So do I.. I try to remember my own positive ideas, but slip now and then. The blog becomes a reminder for me, as well.

Thank you for this - my websites touch on this a great deal and it takes a lot of work sometimes to find that real person within. Beautiful - thank you again!

That is true -- and a lot of backtracking and starting over, but if we keep at it, eventually we will get it figured out.
