Do You Know What You Want?
Suppose you found a genie in a bottle who told you he would grant you one wish, for anything you desired. Do you know what you would ask for?
You can have whatever you want, but first you need to know exactly what you want. Get it clearly fixed in your mind. Many people do not know what they want. They struggle and strive but forget what they are striving for.
If you have not acquired what you want, the reason is because you have never focused on your one great dominating desire. You must have one intense desire. You need to be willing to subordinate everything else. Dreaming about it won't cut it.
If you focus the sun's rays through a magnifying class on one spot, you can start a fire. It is the same way with your mind. You must focus/concentrate on one idea at a time.
Concentrate on your desire to the exclusion of all else. If it is something you want badly enough, you will find it easy to focus on. Through intense concentration, you can link up with a power over and above the physical power of your own mind and body. Then nothing is impossible to you.
Man can control his own destiny. All we have to do is understand this power within you. Hold in your mind what you most desire. Use affirmations like they were existing facts.
Remember this quote from the Bible:"Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire,
when ye pray, believe that ye have them and ye shall have them."
The subconscious is amenable to suggestion. If you truly believe that you have received something, you cause the subconscious mind to accept it as truth. Your mind will respond to your desire in the exact proportion in which you believe.
You can have anything you want, if you want it badly enough. You can be anything you want to be, have what you desire, and accomplish what you set out to do. You must hold the desire in your mind and believe in your own powers to accomplish it.
Find your desire and impress it on your thought. This action opens the door of opportunity. Keep yourself in a state of receptivity. You can receive abundantly and forever. Just keep your thoughts on your desire.

Conversely, it works with the negative as well. Focus on the negative and guess what you're going to get?

I attended a series of sales training classes years ago presented by a fellow named Al Tomsik. He often repeated: "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, heaven and earth work together to achieve."

That quote is from Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich." Great book; you would like it, I think.
Very true... For the most part, I do not know what I want until I go through what I don't want.
Of course as they say "the grass is always greener on the other side." It is a cliche that rings true to me. I am learning to stop chasing the other side and appreciate what I have with me right now.

Good point. Sometimes we say, "Oh,it's just a dream." Sometimes we take it a step forward and decide to make it real.
