If you want to reach your goal, you will need to move out of your comfort zone. If that weren't the case, your goal would already be within reach. It is necessary to risk failure to reach success, so taking a chance might be vital.
Besides, if you think something might be the right answer and you don't take the chance and try it, you will never know if it would have worked or not. Develop a strong belief in yourself, so the unforeseen can't throw you off course.
In this way, you foster personal growth. As you develop the skills needed for your new endeavor, you will also add to the dimensions of self. Sometimes to get from point A to point B, some growth is necessary, so feel fortunate.
So, get out there and take a chance on a solution needed to move you forward. Don't become so paralyzed with fear or lack of self-belief that you cannot move at all. If your first effort doesn't work, try something else.
Just keep reaching up toward solution. The chance you take might be the one necessary step needed to move you forward. Celebrate your possibilities!

I believe that all of the good things that have happened to me (and some of the bad) have been because I was willing to take a risk. However, for the most part, I have always taken "calculated risks". For me this meant, knowing the why, usually even a brief look a possible consequences and figuring out where to jump in. Where I live even crossing the street is taking a risk. Great thought for my day.

I get bored very quickly in a "comfort zone." So I'm always trying something new, especially if there's a learning opportunity.
It's the musician's mentality. A good rock guitar player never plays the same song the same way twice, no matter how good it sounds. Players that do can take the fun right out of it. 😎

Hi Fkelso. I'm a strong believer that you have to take a gamble in business - you just have to otherwise you'll get nowhere. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes not.
The key is research - make sure the odds are stacked in your favour and jump in the deep end when they are.

Very good suggestion...hope many read your comment. I believe you are right. If you can know as much as possible about the risk you're taking beforehand, the better chance you will have for success.
