Hello all...
I just had to put this out there for others to hear....concerning google ranking....I rank on google.ca #1,&2 for main kw #2 on google.com for kw and all up and down the map, I am ranking for kw that I never in a million years was going for, the bots are picking it up from my site I guess as there are search terms for these kw phrases that I have on site, in my text......
I am getting traffic from all over the map and up and down on google from 75-1 it is just crazy never would I have thought the site is in so many places for various kw phrases...and get traffic from such places...
weird the kw I was striving for are in # 1-2-3 but not as much traffic from them as I would have thought of course I get good traffic from them (it could always be better) but not as much as I first thought as I was striving for the top place for these kw...
In conclusion of course strive for your main kw, but have good text on site with some good kw phrases that are being searched for as it seems these kw phrases are being picked up from google, of course they have to be inserted in a very natural way.....
This is my take on what is happening to my site....could be wrong but it looks this way to me...

Google adwords keyword tool will give you a good idea of the other keywords similar to your keyword term. There is a site called LSI keywords.com. put in a keyword and similar results will be identified. Then you can check them for traffic volumes. LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing and basically are synonyms for your keyword.
