Do You Have The Beliefs To Match Your Desires?
Do you have the beliefs to match your desires?
I know questions, questions and more questions. Why? Because I believe it is only by questioning you thoughts and plans that any flaws will be found.
So you have set your lifetime goals and made them SMART! That is they are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound.
So your goals are your desires. How much do you believe you are going to make those goals? Are you 100% sure, or is it something between 0% and 100%. Now we can see the cracks appearing. If it is not 100% then I will tell you now you are not going to make them.
Your beliefs must match your goals! Without the belief the goals are just pie in the sky, a dream that you would like to come true. Before you go about setting your goals you need to change your whole mindset. I always teach PMA Positive Mental Attitude. Believing is what makes the difference between success and failure. Or at least a lot less successful.
Think about your goals and then believe you are living them. the more you practice this the more real they will come.
Now your beliefs will match your desires.

I believe in the power of visualisation.
Once we have set our goals and decided on the steps we need to take to be able to achieve them, as we take those steps, we need to visualise achieving them.
If we can visualise achieving our goals and see them happening in our minds, we most likely will achieve them. Not only visualise them but imagine what it feels like when we achieve them, how it makes us feel and visualise it in as much detail as we can.
The more we can do this, I believe the more we add to making it happen. And, as you say, the more our beliefs match our desires. Thanks for your thoughts, Derek.

This type of affirmation, or autosuggestion, is how we can, over time, reprogram our subconscious minds. This is one of the primary processes, along with past positive experiences, that help to instill faith at the subconscious level, where, once firmly instilled, often mean the difference between success and failure. Thanks for the post, Derek.
