Are your Posts Attracting The Attention You Desire Part 3?

I hope you took note of my previous articles that covered titles and headlines and body copy and images.

Today I am moving on to sentence structure, whitespace and call to action.

While ensuring we are giving good and useful information in our body content we also want to make it as easy to read as possible. This is done most easily by having short sustinct sentences.

I tend to ignore some of the normal grammatical ideas when it comes to paragraphs. I tend to have a gap every three lines. Why do I do this? To me it is much easier to read this way.

Reading on a screen is not the easiest or best of ways to read but when you are reading on a screen you need to give your eyes a rest. I don't worry about grammar protocols but I will break up paragraphs just to give the white space.

For those who have not come across the term or don't really understand what white space is, it is the gap between paragraphs. It is literally the white page showing with no text or images on it.

This gives your eyes a natural rest when reading.

I am sure you have noticed many blogs and articles where you find it hard to read purely because there are lines and lines of text with no gaps.

Even today I will not read an article if there are too many lines of text without a break, and I know there are others that have the same opinion as I do.

I completely understand that you may not want to put a call to action in each article, but you certainly will in reviews you have carried out and recommended.

Where you are going to use a call to action (CTA) then you need to make it positive and strong. Do not expect people to click on your link just because it is there.

You have to make it clear to them why it is there and what they are expected to do!
