One of the characters you have to posses to be used to the internet is to become web savvy. this is very essential especially for the newbie.
The word web savvy means a practical knowledge and understanding of the internet.
the first step of becoming web savvy is to empty your own cup
In my first days In WA I was still in school at that time and i have read a lot of things about internet marketing, even about WA itself. so you can say I came in with a fixed idea, I thought of setting up once and immediately start making money. After a while it became difficult simply because i did not emptied my cup. when i finally pushed my old knowledge aside for that time, I began to learn again from the principles. when i started following the principle, it was as if my body clock was already keeping a to-do list. I would not rest if I did not get a module right. so when you empty your cup, and begin with a new energy, and forget all the time and money you have spent that has failed, you will be surprised how much you will learn in a short time. there is no better way to empty your cup than to start with Your First "10" - Getting Rolling With Wealthy Affiliate and 30 "30 Day Success Club - Internet Entrepreneur Certification" I don't know if it will surprise you if I tell you that the first 10 day training took me almost a month to finish, simply because of the way i tried to assimilate them. going back and forth. then the 30 day training took me some days more. at a point, I started reading both of them, side by side. I remember how hard it took me to find a niche that i would write about in internet marketing. it was only of recent i thought i found the right tittle tag for my online business.
The second step is to yearn for knowledge Using PM, Chat rooms, Training and Google Search.
When you start have registered your domain name you may start having challenges of how you will go about your website. from the pictures, you might put a lot of things in place but there will still be more. this is when you start typing a lot of things into WA search to get answers, sending a lot of pm's especially with the friends you have made in the chat room. They are just something you will see in other peoples website and you just want to have them so bad, but it's difficult to figure it out at that time. you can type it in google or best use the chat room, because a lot of pro's have made the mistake you've made and are now good at it. they are there at the chat room, waiting to give a helping hand to some one. I hope you won't slap me if i told you i just learnt to use the permalink. and i could create my facebook page all because someone sent me a permalink about facebook. when you start asking questions and getting answers, with time you will just have this confidence that anything that comes up, you know where to find the answers.
Third Step is to look for a prototype
before i Started building my Site, I looked for a prototype site, that meant I chose to site's of the members in WA members which I liked and asked questions on them and they were so willing to answer. this will enable you create a picture of what you want to do. How to get pluggins, themes to use and so on. I want you to know that nothing was created out of nothing. so look for a prototype that will make it easy for you to picture what you want.
Ask for Opinions in WA over what you have done
A lot of people can help you with this either in the chat or on you dashboard, comments or PM's. it is important that you ask for opinions and seek suggestions. to help you double check your work. for example, when i built my website, i thought the header was cool. someone in WA told me no that it was not. I felt reluctant to change because it was like doing it all over again. Finally, i decided to change it and when i did, i found that that loved it twice as much as i loved it before. your success is needed, everyone is willing to help.
Finally, the training never stops.
New laws will come out, new inventions and new training try to learn from the first one who knows, and if you are the first one to know, share with the family hear at WA. i just learnt something on mobile company from Jay's wabinar and other things from different people too. To be perfect you have to keep learning and learning everyday I was talking to someone whom I consider a pro in WA and i loved his level of success at the moment but he told me he was giving himself two years to get his business to the level he wants. So start now and give yourself time to learn.
