LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES:

Less that 24 hours left to lockdown: South Africa

The following will not necessarily be made public. Please adhere to these rules during the lockdown, and you will be safe! Not adhering to these rules will result in INSTANT arrest!
1. Shops will NOT remain open like they are now. Only CERTAIN shops will be open at DESIGNATED times. Please stay up to date with these times. It will be made available to the public. Only a certain number of people will be allowed inside the shop at a time.

2. Roadblocks will be implemented EVERYWHERE. To get to your destination, you will have to go through a road block, and your license will be scanned. This will keep track of your travels. The army will patrol everywhere to make sure nobody is on the streets.

3. You will only be allowed to travel once every 2 to 3 days to shops, etc. Unless you are an employee exempt from the lockdown. If you travel too much, you will be arrested.

4. You are not allowed to travel in pairs. You MUST travel ALONE. Only 1 person per car. Unless you are in transportation services.

5. When travelling, you HAVE to wear a mask and gloves. If you do not have this, it will be provided for you at the road block.

6. When travelling back from where you went, you will pass another roadblock, where you have to provide PROOF of what you bought, and where. Keep you receipts EVERY TIME you buy something.

7. Please do not make plans to walk your dog, go on a hike, or even cycle. This will NOT be allowed.

Stay safe everyone, and be kind to employees who risk their lives to keep you safe. They are our heroes.

Happy Wednesday My WA Family !!!

Wow! The things that need to be done so that people adhere to the rules. 😮

It's strict but it's for everyone's safety.

All the best, Fiona!

Stay safe and healthy

Melissa

Thank you Melissa as l know my fellow South African they deserve this strictness as they don't take any thing serious. If this is not implemented we will have bigger problem to manage the virus. Stay safe too:)

Way too many aren't taking this seriously. It's sad, really. I know some people don't believe everything they see, read or hear about but this is pretty obviously a problem virus. The world doesn't go on lockdown for the flu and even that's a bad one so that should be enough to show people the severity of the situation. Nope.

I've been seeing stupidities online about a "coronavirus challenge" where influencers go around licking random objects in grocery stores and stuff so "show how fake it is."

Needless to say, some are in the hospital with the coronavirus now 🙄

What is wrong with some people in this world?! If people would just listen and stay home, I'm sure a lot of this could've been prevented.

It's mind boggling and makes me sick to my stomach how ridiculous and selfish some people can be.

It is very sad one woman yesterday said she doesn't believe in Coronavirus she will believe it by seeing herself she was saying she's wanted proof of people lying at the hospital. When asked how is she preventing herself from contacting the virus as she didn't have a mask or hand sanitizer she was inside the taxi which is a public transport.

People like this woman also make me sick what more proof do they need the country is going in lockdown isn't that proof enough. Let's hope they come to their senses very soon as it will be good for them and the people around them.

Come to their senses or not. The law will now make sure of that 🤷

The way I see it, those people spreading the virus by being so oblivious and stubborn are criminals. They are indirectly killing people and it needs to stop. I'm glad they have out something in place to make sure the spread stops or at least slows.

We need to get rid of this demon virus ASAP!

I very much agree with you Melissa we all need to play our part in helping everyone involved to get rid of this demon.

Just stay safe.
Joe

Thank you Joe:)

Wow. Those are some tough enforcement actions. I live in a state in the US, that has had lots of new rules about public gatherings, school cancellations, businesses closed, and now complete lock downs in our largest city that is going into effect today. Yet, they have not threatened to arrest anybody breaking the rules.

I hope that you will stay safe, stay healthy and that you are able to get lots done on your website.

Unfortunately for me l will not be able to work on my website as l used to , l work in the health sector so l need to report to work on a daily basis but l do have a permit that permits me to leave my house. Good luck with your home arrest and stay safe!

They've discounted most of the lockdown in the States--only hot spots!

That is a good right ?

So far, but the news seems to change on a daily basis!
