COVID-19 UPDATE
This Covid- 19 is making our lives very difficult. We are becoming prisoners in our own countries and homes. Yesterday at work they wrote letters that permits us to go to work everyday even after the lock down mid night today. The CEO and the shareholders wrote letters, signed them and they were handed to all the staff as we work in the Health sector. We can not work from our homes as patients are at hospitals.
When we got to work this morning we were told that the letters that we got yesterday,meant absolutely nothing everyone needs a permit that has a certified stamp. So we were given certified permits to carry around every time you leave the house so that you do not get arrested.
We got the permits this afternoon to carry around every time we leave our homes as if we are foreigners in our own country, I am not complaining though, The government has to do what has to be done to get rid of this virus once and for all.

It's likely my country will go into lockdown this weekend as well. We already crossed 138 cases and 4 deaths in 1 week. No one likes the idea of a lockdown, especially because so many people are unprepared for it but it looks like there's no other way.
We are all praying for the best.

Staying safe is the only way only if people can understand that.
Our lock down started today but there are people moving around not social distancing themselves from other and one of the small supermarket was closed in the morning and later during the day l saw it was open again when l asked why was it open the shop owner said he bribed the police officer. How can the government fight this if people and police officers can not comply with the rules and the regulations.
l do not know what will happen just hoping and praying.
That is something I still don't understand about our people. It's like the gravity of the situation hasn't hit us yet. It's going to take so much more than hoping and praying for sure.
I agree with you , some people want to believe by seeing for themselves hope they will survive to tell the tales.
In the Philippines, each family is given a "quarantine pass" which they must show to the officers in every checkpoint so that they will be allowed to go to the grocery store, banks, pharmacies or medical facilities.
It's called a quarantine pass but some say it's really a "suicide pass" because whenever you get out of your home, you have a big chance of contracting the virus, thus it's like committing suicide, lol.

That is still not helping the secuation very much if everyone has the suicide pass they can get out in the name of buying groceries and the risk is very high.Thank you and stay safe!
Its not ideal but I guess its needed in an attempt to slow down the spread of the virus and hopefully get rid of it once and for all.

I try to think of new ways to do things that will not violate current laws and restrictions but accomplish fulfillment and satisfaction. It is not always so easy, but sweet when a new idea comes along.

This reminds me of an advert of Vodacom which had these lines "Are You Free or Dom?"
That supposed to be Freedom.
It also reminds me of the days of apartheid here in South Africa, 1991 when I was nearly arrested for being "Black", I mean as dark in complexion in what was designated "white or European Only" township. We were required to carry our identity documents (IDs) and also have a permit from your employer. I had no idea what those two requirements were because I was from rural places and found myself lost in the town.
Stay Safe and keep the permit because soon we shall be free again.
Freedom does not mean being Free, but it means choosing who must decide for you. It means choosing your master and in this case, is called government.
