I did not work much on this site and am only now starting to revive it just to see.

This is likely a problem with your particular theme or a plugin that you have installed (it has vulnerabilities within it).

Contact SiteSupport and let them know exactly what has happened here and they will investigate.

Thank you, will do

There is only one thing you can do: contact support.

Hmmm not sure about this as we are so secure

Hi All

I am not sure if I should be asking or even may ask this question but I was wondering, since we are all at WA in order to monetize our websites would it not help

I would tend to agree with Mr. Kearns. It is a good question.

Wayne

This borders on gaming with Google's system or at least flirting with it. Inadvisable with a concern that has ever increasing strict algorithms and can shut you out just like that!

Ok thanks for the response, I was thinking of this today and wondered why something like this is not mentioned in the trainings I have done thus far so I had to ask.

This would actually be encouraging people to commit click fraud and is essentially stealing from Adwords users, many of whom are people(the little guys online) just like us.

It's not permitted by Google and is unethical.

Good question, but I would have to say no. :)

Thanks for the clarity, I am sure I was not the only one wondering but someone had to ask.

I always try to avoid to click on the ads for not causing costs to people (the little ones, especially). I once had an adsense campaign and the money went away without any result, so I stopped it for not being depleted.

Me too, lol. I never click on sponsored ads in search results unless I'm actually shopping for something. Funny how knowing what we know changes how we act.

Yes, it does, completely. Knowledge is power!

Well, Google is pretty damn smart lol, so ya, you cannot really fool them lol.

I wouldn't do it. If Google gets suspicious they will shut down your Adsense account and you won't get paid. Not worth the risk.

It would indeed become suspicious, but it would be very sociable when members, who are coming to a website giving a comment, and did this as gently gesture towards fellow WA-ers. In that case, it wouldn't alarm Google at all, I also click all ads on Youtubes too:)

Just like PIOFJR said - Google will eventually find it suspicious and may remove your website from it's index.

I think it would be more profitable for you to just "increase" traffic and boost your site by asking people to drop a comment on random posts and web pages of yours which will result in better ranking eventually.

Cheers

I don't understand all of the legalities and the do's and dont's as yet on Google's policies, but a very good question indeed.
Thanks for the share.
Cheers Tosh :)

Clicking it once to other members website would help, but repetitive clicking will be suspicious to google. So be aware of it though.

Great idea but this is against google adsense policies so i think not im afraid :)

I am in Namibia and from the looks of things unless I ask someone to like my page, it seems like I only have a Namibian audience, what can I do to get an international audience

Facebook ads are not expensive and you can target audience anywhere you want

ARE YOU JUST TALKING ABOUT FACEBOOK OR YOUR WEBSITE TOO ? :-))

Would fetching on different webmasters help? Like Yandex ( for China, etc) and Bing?

You could look for niche related groups in South Africa next door as a start and build from there.

Thanks for the information guys, they are very helpful.

Facebook ads which will only work if you have a lot of money to spend

Simplest/Cheapest way is to start joining Groups that are in your Niche and get related to the people in that Group .. like contributing in the same way as here .. then gradually ask them to like your Page or join your Group or check out a Post you put on your Page or Group. It is "social media" so it is about "relationship".

There are many ways (including paid), but what I have said is the best starting point in my thinking.

Cheers, William.

Facebook is really hard at the moment as the organic reach is really low.
Just post good content and you can try "boosting" the odd post, which means that you have to pay for it unfortunately.

More or less how many website views do you get in the first couple of months?

I agree with Yakitori, the more your views the more your page gets better ranking. Your choice of keywords should be well thought about because you are targeting good traffic. Make good use WA Keyword Tool and Jaaxy. I am sure you will increase your Views as your content increases and your website becomes popular.

Thank you

There's no specific number. It really depends on how much content you write, the keywords you are targeting, whether you use social media or not, and a bunch of other factors.
It does take time for search engines to rank your pages especially if your site is new but there have been people who were able to rank in the top page very quickly so it's different for everyone. Of course your goal is to be ranked #1 on page one which will give you the most traffic but even if you're ranked anywhere on the first page you should get some decent traffic. If you're on page 10 most likely you won't get much traffic.

Thank you
