I was about to start creating my second training and I got this message:

The time will go by very fast Fernando and by them you'll have it even more primed and ready to go. I for one is looking forward to it.

Thanks for your comments mate.

G'Day Fernando. I'm holding my breath as I count down the hours, minutes, seconds to the lifting of my training restriction. In the meantime, I've been using this "downtime" to complete my course so I'm ready to go when I can.

It's actually been a positive thing in a way because I've focussed completely on completing my course instead of switching between my course and WA to upload videos and lessons. When the restriction is lifted, all I'll have to do is upload everything I've done.

Just thought I'd mention this so you may want to make use of the "downtime" as much as you can. Look forward to seeing your training. Cheers, Phil.

Good point Phil. I thought I'll leave the whole thing for now, but I could start getting things organised and ready to go. I agree with you this being a positive thing, because I'm actually spending more time working on my website and the certification course. we are getting there, mate, eventually.

G'day, Fernando! Training is obviously needed to ensure the best quality of content. In the above message, the apostrophe in "video's" is a common grammatical mistake. Your next training will be looked forward to by many members! :) george

Well spotted George, hahaha. I didn't even noticed, but you're absolutely right!

''what about the 'grandfather clause'? You mean we are not grandfathered in when new rules are made? After all, I created, well exactly 0 trainings and I ought to be allowed to produce at least that many more!!

Yeah, you can create 0 more lol. After 3 months you can create training as we have determined this is the most appropriate time.

So awesome that you guys are creating training and truly paying it forward. What we have done here is not a measure to curb this sort of activity, rather to promote those that have been a member and understand the culture, what we stand for, and have taken some influence from existing training before they create their own.

We were simply running into the problem where people were coming in creating "training with an ulterior motive" and that is why we want people to have 3 months experience within the WA culture and to get some experience here before they contribute to the training.

I hope no offense is taken here and I do thank you guys for being such an awesome part of the community, I just wanted to give you some perspective on this. Appreciate all of you! :)

Thanks Kyle, it's nice of you to reply.

No problem at all! :) If you ever need anything let me know!

I suffered the same fate recently which shocked me completely but having had it explained by other members, I can clearly see why they've done it. Just be patient and if you're going to hang around on WA it will prove to the founders and members that you're serious about helping others. At least this is the philosophy I've adopted. My restriction is hopefully being lifted in 24-48 hours which will let me proceed with a course I've spent an enormous amount of time on to create. Hang in there!

Hey Phil. I appreciate it must be incredibly annoying for Members such as yourself and Fernando to run up against this mid way. However, it's fantastic to see that both of you understand and believe in putting the "good" of the community at large over any personal considerations. Kudos! :) Rich.

Hey Rich. I like taking inspiration from successful people and you are definitely one of those people here on WA. Cheers mate.

I will, Phil. I'm also quite close to be three months at WA, so I'll just wait and hope people keep using my first training, but what I'll especially do is to immerse myself in creating my website, which I do neglect due to so much distraction. Thanks for your support.

Fernando, there is nothing we can do about it, but YOU can take advantage of the time, by preparing your training(s), and as you say, getting your website(s) up. We will be awaiting for we already tasted the good stuff. Regards

Going by the history of this restriction no doubt it is good for the community because sometimes our attention is diverted to unnecessary discussions which have no value to our career or business. It would have been better if these restrictions were like this
THAT ALL PREMIUM MEMBERS ARE INFORMED THAT ALL TRAINING VIDEO OR TUTORIAL CAN ONLY BE UPLOADED BY WA ADMINSTRATION AFTER PREVIEWING ONLY.
Rejected trainings shall be sent back sighting reasons for the same.

I completely agree with you, there should be a preview, I just wonder who would take such mammoth task.

I believe that a "distraction" is one's responsibility. Even trainings can be distracting when we begin to jump from one lesson to another without following the sequence of its design. We sometimes get attracted to one lesson posted in comments or discussions that we tend to forget we are working on something else in our website. I can't help this because discussions can be very inviting and intriguing at times.

I like that restrictions be made because it sifts uploads and produces quality training. But "quality" is relative. This limits the number of people that could benefit from just one tutorial. Remember, there are thousands upon thousands of members here. I believe that different tutorials and trainings have different approaches that can cater only to some learners. Each to his own and we can never tell who benefits from what. Hence, there are tons of algebra books, each with different approach that caters to certain types of students; Or, language books each serving its own purpose. Different authors satisfy different readers for that matter.

I did get the message and took it as it is. Not a problem for the good of the community. When the time comes, I will continue to create lessons because I know that I can help some members (it's not always all) who learn from my style.

I don't mind being over-flooded with info, blogs, or anything posted around here. That is their privilege as premium members which everybody has the right to exercise such privilege. It is my responsibility to sort out what is beneficial to me. It would be selfish if we deprive others to do what they want to do as premium members.

One thing I know, if a training or tutorial is a junk, then nobody will use it, benefit from it, or even comment on it. It will eventually get lost in the file. I don't see any problem if this happens to me. That should motivate me to do a better job next time.

Just saying...

All right, I understand. We are getting overcrowded with information, sometimes unnecessary, and that leaves us no time to do what we are supposed to be doing. Thanks, Rich.

No probs. It's not in any way "personal" and I appreciate that it does impact on more recent Members who were providing quality training. However, it benefits those who are here for the long haul and "support" and update their training. It also ensures that quality and value won't be swamped by a lot of unnecessary *noise*. :) Rich.

Exactly.

Unfortunately, there were a few newcomers that were "spamming" training that wasn't either of value or quality or conflicted with the core concepts of WA so a three month "probation" period was instigated recently to stop all Members getting inundated and to avoid confusing those who've just joined. There was a previous discussion on it here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/phil52/blog/sudden-training-restriction-put-upon-me Rich.

I agree with you Rich. My email is flood with new comers training. I not sure what their purpose. From what I see some are really sincere in offering and some are spamming and trying to gain WA ranking.

Hi everyone

Is there a way to know how many people are using one´s course at WA?

Beyond @rich I have nothing to add.Explained perfectly.

There's no monitoring of anyone accessing any specific material. However, "likes" and "comments" should give you an indication. :) Rich.

I supposed so, Rich, thanks for confirming. The thing is that the blue bar in the progress column on My Training is growing and I´m assuming that´s because people are visiting and using the course, but I can only see the comments and likes as you say. And the other thing is that I received an email with the top 10 training and mine was there (but not in the top 10 in the dashboard), showing more than 2000 comments, which is not actually the case.

WA Affiliate Program

I invited a friend and he joined WA, but the referral is not showing. How long does it take to show?

When my friend signed up using my referral link, I was notified by email of a him signing up almost imediately....so I called him and had him Activate his Profile with his Photo and Story About him....

He did it....and because I am a Premium member I was also notified of my $1 commission for a free sign ups ....

and in less then 24 hours, he upgraded to Premium Membership....and my first commission based on the introductory $19...was posted to my WA Back Office.... A Bright Amount of $8 was staring at me!

So if you haven't been notified...he may not have signed up...or he did so at an incorrect referral link which was not yours!.... You should call your friend and find out!

You´re right WAKenko, he might not have sign up or did something wrong, because I have just had two emails notifying me about two new referrals I made.

Thank you all for your comments, I´ll investigate a bit further and see how he´s done it

If your referral completed the three tasks: account setting, uploading profile and introducing themselves at the chat there is no reason why it won't show up:)

When you invite someone from inside WA using your link do they only show as invited if they sign up?

Yes, if they use your link to register with WA, then they'll show in My Stats in the main menu. :) Rich.

You sure they used your affiliate link? I signed a friend up recently but she forgot to use the link :(

It's important that a referral doesn't use your computer or same IP address, ie. same wifi network, to sign up and that you don't "demo" WA by logging in on their computer, etc. It prevents people trying to *game* the system. Has your referral added a pic. and a bit of bio. to their profile?! Rich.

Thanks, Rich...I've been trying to sign friends up from my computer/WIFI and it tells them that they are already members

Hi everyone

I'm very proud to present to you my very first training. Have a look and tell me what you think. I hope it works. Thanks for your support.

I like your training. It's comprehensive and I'm sure will be useful for many. The only thing that I would say is that it would have helped if you'd added some images to break up the text (even 1 per page)

Hi Bis, thanks for your suggestions. I think it's a good idea I never thought of. I can always go back and edit it. Any suggestions on the images? Maybe related to the sentences?

Images or quotes will work equally well. Even if you had turned some of your examples into images it would help to emphasise your point.

I like this training. Very helpful.

Thanks Derekins, I'm so happy people are using the course. More will come in due time, something a bit more "meaty" for those who are ready to take the next step.

Hi everyone

Ever since I joined WA I found myself doing several things at once: doing the certificate courses, building my website, preparing a training, following other m

I use gmail to collect all my emails like Nathaniell then put them in filters. Its easy then to check weekly to see whats new and relevant to me. You have to discipline yourself. Decide how much time you can devote to answering emails, reading blogs, watching training, and writing or building your site. Write it all down and break up your day.

Its a good practice to end the day with social time. Give yourself the last half hour and share all you can. Wiz through as much as you can in that time don't go over. Set up a structure and stick to it.

You may be flexible from time to time (say you are stuck on a problem and need more time to sort) but it is sometimes good to move away from a problem and come back the next day afresh you can usually find the answer staring at you.

Also set yourself targets, i.e. Do two blog posts per week, do two article directory posts, add these posts to your social platforms. Add new people to social platforms, Be active within G+ FB Twiter answer questions or comments, Again break it up into doable sections of time. Then try to stick to it. If you fall short then restructure.

I agree with this! I'm doing the training courses and when I checked my email there were video tips that I watched but hadn't got to that part of the training yet. It was a little easier once I did get to that part because I knew what was going on but it can be confusing with the emails and training steps. Thanks to pajamasceo14 for answering how to cut down on the emails. They were causing an overload on my brain which was making me lose concentration to stay motivated so again thanks!

I see you found your answer! Congratulation!

Oh Fernando. Te funciono ir a "Account Settings"? Espero te haya funcionado bien. !

Question is for original poster, who is no longer active in the community. Closing with a comment.

That's great Nathaiell, I'll look into it.

If you want to receive emails you can check later (for organizational purposes), you can use your gmail account to filter the messages. I like to know what the new trainings are, but don't want them in my regular inbox. So i make a filter, have it market them as 'read', and stick them a folder so I can just look at them once a week without bothering my regular inbox stuff.

thanks a lot pajamasceo14, brief and relevant, I like that

Go under 'account settings' and de-select the emails that you no longer wish to receive.
