I've seen sites that you cannot highlight and copy the material... We're looking for a plugin to protect the non-copyrighted artwork of our illustrator (my wife's children's bo
Hi Felix, although there's no 100% way to stop plagiarism, this is one I use: WP Content Copy Protection & No Right Click. It acts as a deterrent, If they do want to use any of your content they would have to copy it manually
Hi Felix,
Actually, there are a few that do the job. You might just check the plugin's developer page to see the features available with each of the following that suit your particular needs:
1- Opt-In Content Locker
2- WORDPRESS CONTROL COPY
3- Smart Content Protector
4- wp no right click
Hope this helps your wife sleep well!
Hi John! Thank you. I really do appreciate it, and it's good information to know for future projects/sites also. Like Marion said, we really can't stop a thief... It's really just a deterrent.
I'm going to copy your list for quick reference for the community
I'll sleep better too, the couch can get lumpy when I don't finish the honey-do list! thanks again John!
Now you won't have to sleep on the couch but just besides your belle, knowing that you made your deed. But is sleeping really on your mind? :p
All the best to you!
You can't stop anyone who is really determined to steal the images. But you can stop casual thieves with WP Content Copy Protection. Get the one that allows right-click because some people prefer to open stuff in a new tab or window.
Thanks for the heads up Marion. I've been telling her the same thing about thieves... I think it just makes her feel better to feel like there is some protection in place.
Anyway, the images are automatically copyrighted when they are published either in print or on the web. Anyone who has the book can use a scanner to steal the images. Anyone who knows how to use the advanced features of a browser can access the html. But if it makes her happy then "just do it".

Just covering my bases before I go too far & decide to change later.
I guess I'll go against the grain and say that a theme change absolutely can impact your ranking. I wouldn't trust a theme that hasn't been updated in a few years as it can be outdated and can contain code that could be harmful to your site's reputation. Stick with modern themes from known developers.
I didn't realize there was any more to it than just changing the look. I still have a lot to learn though.
The main thing is to just be mindful of the theme you are choosing. I would also minimize how often you change your theme as well.
Changing a theme won't affect rankings, however where your content is at in the page can.( top or bottom)
I think the rankings go off of the content and not the theme. So you should be fine to change the looks of your site whenever you want to.
Here's someone else who asked the same question and got a few answers: Does changing your theme effect your google ranking?
Thank you so much, I appreciate your feedback! Makes a lot of sense, I guess I'm worrying too much! Thanks again!

I want to offer free downloads, apps, gadgets whatever... Ideas?
Anyone looking for free downloads or products take a look here. You can join for free and get lots of products.
http://ultvid1259.idplr.hop.clickbank.net
If you are offering affiliate products, you could reach out to the affiliate manager and see if they have anything to offer.
Another option is to compile several related posts from your blog and create a PDF from it. This can be used as a free report. You could also create a slideshow from some of your content and use that to create a video as well. This gives you more channels to give away free.
You could try to search for Private Label Rights (PLR) but be very careful to make sure the PLR has some substance. The market is improving but still has a long way to go.
You could also gather up some websites related to your product or market and put those in a PDF and title it "Useful Resources for..." whatever your market is. This is a fast and easy way to create a giveaway. Just make sure those websites are really useful. Also, write a catchy description for each website and why it's useful. Be sure to include links back to your website or squeeze page within the PDF.
Thanks so much for the thoughtful answer. I appreciate it greatly! I hadn't really thought about it from these angles. We're looking to do something special and want to help at the same time. Thank you again.
Definitely good information in there, I can see that already and I know it will get me started. Thanks so much for taking the time to give me some help!

A simple number is fine for example- 5. I just need to get some averages.
Everyone has different levels of experience thus making the time span different for all. I work out of my home for others so I must divide my time for their needs also. I probably spend an average of 2-3 hours just on WA overall. This includes answering emails and questions. Once I have my current website to where I want it I will be spending more time to perfect my second site and get that up and running well. Cheers.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! I appreciate your input! I like your plan for action too... All the best!
This first week for studying I am averaging about 8. I'm sure this number will go up when I start to launch my sites. This is what I want my new career to be. I want to work at home and be near my wife and children. I'm focused yall!
My average these days is about 4 hours. Not easy at times but have to do it....discipline! :)
Bernie
I would say that I average about 2-3 hours /day. I have a full-time day job, so squeeze in WA between meals, kid activities and sleep- bathroom breaks optional, or was it the sleep optional-I forget ;)
How many hours do you work on your home business or on your site or WA on average per day? I need to compile some data to provide some accurate info on my site based on this pretty well controlled environment. Thanks so much for helping WAers!
For myself, it depends on what is going on at work. The lat 3 weeks I am giving those lovely standardized tests that I have to help my special ed students with. I am exhausted by the time I get home so maybe 15 minutes if Im lucky. I try to get on at lunch!
Next week hoping to get an hour a day in. Best of luck!
