There is Need For More Patience

Last Update: September 28, 2021

The need for patience goes a long way toward our goals of creating a more peaceful lifestyle. in recognition of all that is going on around us and within us. For instance, we need patience for the challenge of building a thriving business, maintaining healthy relationships, and managing our lives..

No Matter Where We Are

Regardless of our position in life, whether we're on the top of the mountain, or at the bottom, we need the patience to cope with the ups and downs of life.

We all have unique circumstances, and I believe that we can all agree that life can be extremely frustrating sometimes; hence the need for more patience. We just have to prepare to be as cool as a cucumber if we really want to remain sane.

As we know, we can't always expect things to go exactly as we would like or proposed. Every day, we encounter people who annoy us either by their words or behaviors. We navigate through the reckless drivers on the road, without patience, dealing with some people can be irritating and challenging.

You need the patience to accomplish your goals. You need patience when going through the wilderness experience in your business, marriage, or life generally. Without patience the temptation to give up when the going gets tough is real.

Being more patient involves being calm when you are stuck in a traffic jam when you're driving behind a grandpa/grandma, while you are late for an appointment, or work. It involves smiling when you feel like lashing out at someone.

Patience is a virtue, it is a spiritual quality, it shows our heart condition, our level of self-development.

We can decide intentionally, not to allow nobody or anything the opportunity to interrupt our peace of mind. I know it is easier said than practiced. But it is doable. You can set practicing patient as a goal.

The key areas we can focus on are: being patient with the elderly, patient with our spouse's behaviors, patient with our children, mostly from toddler to teenage age, being patient on the road, on the check-out queue, and also with the customer service calls, and patience with any form of delay in our life. Delays don't mean denials.

Whatever our individual situations are, we can do better if we can learn to be more patient. Practice it for your sake and for the sake of others, and you will be happy that you saved yourself the yelling, feeling hurt, and unnecessary high blood pressure.

Jeff, thanks very much for your comment. Patience indeed is very important in our daily activities and interactions with all kinds of people. And, it is not gotten automatically. It is learned by putting our emotions and impulses under control.

Patience sometimes can be very challenging
We need to grow this behaviour by implementing consistent routine and practice
It can be frustrating when our targets are not met
Our learned behaviour will eventually carry us through to be better

Simone, you're 100% right, that patience can be very challenging. Indeed it can. It is not commonly acquired, that is why it is considered a virtue, It is developed, nursed, and priced. Because without its attributes many of our accomplishments wouldn't have been possible in the first place.
For instance, as entrepreneurs of different levels, we can attest to the amount of hard work, commitment, sacrifice, and the patience needed to continue working, investing, even when the ROI is far too low. It takes patience to run a successful business, family life, etc.
But once we learn how to be patient, and have inner stability, we can be able to handle any external challenges calmly.

Thanks so much for your candid comment!

Patience adds beauty to everything we do.
I have never regretted being patience like I have regretted my outburst.
Thank you, Sara.

I totally agree with you, that patience adds beauty to our conduct. It is a quality that is being admired by everyone because it is not common, it is not everyone that has this quality if we understand the real meaning. The truth is that it pays to be patient.
Thanks so much for your great comment.

I love this, patience and persistence is the key. Like you right said, we learn to be patient with our spouses, children, and even our elderly.

Same way we must patiently grow our business.
