The Rules that Must Be Observed!

The Rules that Must Be Observed

Aristotle once said, “Dignity does not consist in possessing honors, but in deserving them.”

I’m glad to share this with our wealthy affiliate community, as men and women of integrity. I believe some of us already know about the rules, while some may be hearing or reading about it for the first time. Whichever one is the case, let this serve as a friendly reminder that there is a rule guiding a life of integrity. Because life is becoming so busy and so complicated by days, that sometimes, we just need to pause and ponder about things that really matter most.

Simplified Rules of Integrity Are:

Rule 1. Don’t deny your feelings but don’t wallow in them, either. Instead find an effective, straightforward, and non-blameful to communicate feelings. If you’re scared, or angry, say so --- no big deal.

Rule 2. Tell the whole truth. Make yourself safe for people to tell the truth to.

Rule 3. Be selective in making commitments and scrupulous about keeping them. Don’t break commitments unless no other alternatives exist, and then carefully communicate about the broken commitments to all relevant people.

Rule 4. Take responsibility for any business in which you’re involved and ask for each participant to do the same.

I hope you find this useful, and that you will commit to keeping the rules as a person of integrity.

Your general feedback will always be appreciated.
Enjoy the rest of the week!

Awesome Eriene! That's very important. I will do the same too.
you so much,
I will highly recommend that we type them out and post them in a conspicuous place so that everyone can read them. Both young and old.
Let it be part of our mentoring advice. Because part of the moral decadence in today's society is because these rules are being neglected.
Today, there's little or no more emphasis on character, it's all about the so-called success without integrity for the most part.
Have a joyful rest of your week!

I completely agree Sara. Sharing these with everyone is so important. As a therapist integrity is something I strive for every day but there is always room for self reflection and improvement so not to become complacent.
Have a kind weekend.

Integrity seems to be in short supply these days. It’s like anything goes to yield the results one wants.

Your definition on integrity is like a breath of fresh air.

Cheers.

Hi Mell, glad to hear from you again. I appreciate your kind feedback!
Indeed, for those in training or mentoring relationships, here is my recommendation; that we type out these simple rules and post them in a conspicuous place so that everyone can read them. Both young and old.

Let it be part of our mentoring advice. Because part of the moral decadence in today's society is because these rules are being neglected or forgotten by many people regardless of status.

Today, there's little or no more emphasis on character, it's all about the so-called success without integrity for the most part.
