No Expiration Date On Happiness

I love what Abraham Lincoln once said. He said that "It has been my observation that people are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be." Here is our challenge, will we be able to make up our minds to be as happy this year as we can, regardless of our circumstances?
If not, will we then make up our minds not to be unhappy this 2022? Remember life and happiness should not be primarily based on our possessions and fat bank accounts as important as they are.
Our happiness should not have expiring dates. It shouldn't be seasonal. For instance, waiting for another November, December, and January month to celebrate ... I hope you understand what I mean or what these months significantly mean?
Now, let us examine the following thoughts to help us to take some happy vitamins if you will, in challenging times like this. We need a solid body, mind, and spirit to function effectively. And if we allow our minds to be cast down, stressed, and overwhelmed or experience burnout, we will lose the energy and our internal motivation.
I'm sharing this based on my own experience. Friends, life is unpredictable. It is full of both positive and negative surprises. I'm glad that we all can agree with me on this. This is not being negative. It is a fact.
Some Important Tips to Consider
To have happiness, adopt the Golden Rule, or the law of sowing and reaping.
Make yourself happy by making others happy intentionally.
Seeking happiness in any relationship or stage in life with no intention to bring happiness to someone else, will be elusive. I have people with that kind of mindset. It is selfishness.
The best place to start giving and receiving happiness is our families, all things being equal. I mean if it is possible. We have to do all we can to motivate each other to be happy. Because genuine happiness can be contagious likewise unhappiness.
Finally, try to be sensitive to your own reactions and to the reactions of others.
Proverbs 17:22, says this, "A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones:"
Be happy, you're loved!

No ma'am, this is definitely not being negative; it's being practical, and as you say, fact.
It's important to be factual with yourself so that you can proceed on solid ground. If it's not factual, you proceed on shaky ground, and this can be very risky.
I appreciate your words of wisdom, Sarah :-)
